Staying here right now and it’....
This is our first time staying here, usually we stay in zabeel Saray.
We come every year in May, this time is feels like a package holiday, despite being in a jumeriah hotel. We as a family feel there is no exclusiveness for what we have payed and booked.
We will have to think again about staying here. In the evenings it’s impossible to get a table booked at a decent time to have food...with 2 young children. Despite it being the holy month here, we have never experienced any problems booking a table to eat in the past and we come the same month every year. I have seen no manager in the main resterant in the lobby.
We have booked a club package. It was absolutely rammed between 3pm - 4.30 and the platters were left empty of food, nothing for the children to eat, tables left dirty, and tea and coffee service we had to wait ages.
I must say I haven’t felt the special”feel” that you get with a jumeriah hotel. It’s so unfortunate.
I have pre booked evening meals at what ever resterant is available now till the end of my stay, with odd times aswell. I’m currently staying here right now, when I checked in, I was given no cold flannel or drink with young tierd children but our room was ready, which is a plus point but I was looking forward to the small perks you get when checking in.
Such a shame really. Getting a sun bed it’s like going to the market here, people arguing and getting up silly times in the morning to save a bed!
Please get this sorted jumeriah, the hotel must live up to its standards.

OMG What has happened - terrib....
It saddens me to write this review. As a regular visitor to this hotel (3 times this year alone) and usually can’t sing it’s praises enough. I write this whilst I am still a guest and looking forward to returning home! having to get up at 6am to reserve a sun lounger, witnessing guests fighting over sunloungers around the pool. hotel at more than 100% capacity due to greed of management whilst JBH is closed. As for the premium leisure club (yes which we paid extra for) struggle to access and keep being accosted by managers to try somewhere different every time we go in there! Drunk loud mouthed people both around the pool and the PLC lounge. had to call housekeeping because bathroom smells of fish/strange smell. Massive queues at breakfast - shall I go on. Jumeirah you should be ashamed of yourself. One manager tried to blame it on UK school holidays but this is not true as I have always travelled here during school holidays and it has NEVER been like this. Can only describe as like Benidorm in the Middle East. Absolutely dreading this as I am due to come back again in August. Shocked beyond belief and they just keep giving excuses - take a look at your poor staff they are exhausted/abused by guests. this is appalling. Please reconsider going somewhere else until this hotel returns to normal after October 2018!

Great Job Al Qasr !
Thank you for the wonderful days we spent at Al Qasr Madinat. The excellent staff made the difference.
Friendly, helpful and attentive without being annoying. Interior design is harmonic and very beautiful, wonderful arabian suite with a comfortable bed and a luxury bathroom. Personalized service in the premium leisure club, private atmosphere during breakfast and happy hour. Great variety of excellent restaurants, gorgeous pool and beach facilities which complementary drinking water and ice cream. CAT sailing, stand up paddles, kayaks and much more, always lifeguards on duty. The complete Madinat facilities are just breathtaking. Huge area connected via footpath or water ways, transport with electro cart or the small abra boat, also electric. Gigantic Gym with indoor pool, beautiful spa.
Everything is well maintained and in superior condition. Running out of words, simply a wonderful experience, great job Al Qasr, please keep on.

As always, fantastic
I would like to write a review about the beach as there was one gentleman in particular who we cannot thank enough. All the beach staff work extremely hard and we are very grateful to them all. From finding sunbeds and placing the towels on them, serving drinks and snacks, cleaning sunglasses and offering ice lollies and cucumber slices - all of these things made our stay very special but John Callueng would go the extra mile. A wonderful young man. So polite and caring, always there with his wonderful smile and greeting. A very diligent, hard worker. John, we certainly hope we are lucky enough to see you again next year.

Service Improvements Needed
The check-in process on arrival to the hotel took nearly 40 minutes, despite no-one else checking in at the same time. The staff at the front desk were not that friendly or welcoming. Check out was slightly better, but again the staff really ddn't seem to care or ask us about our stay.
Service at the pool bar was slow, both in terms of food arriving and clearing our plates at the end of the meal. The waiters however were very friendly and welcoming.
The room quality in the hotel was very high, and we were in a very peaceful part of the hotel.
We did encounter an issue with one of our rooms, we came in late at night to find that the aircon was blocked resulting in a lot of water coming in through the ceiling. The engineers were quick to arrive in the room and fixed the problem. However this was midnight and if we were a family with children this would not have been a solution that would have been appropriate. I also was surprised, given this is a five star hotel that the management were not informed as I would have at least expected the staff on check-out to have been aware and at least apologised for the inconvienience.
The hotel is one that I would think about staying in again, but the service elements certainly need improvements.
