On all my travels through North America, Europe (East and West), the Far East, this is probably the worst hotel I have stayed in. The person behind the desk when we arrived was unfriendly, uncooperative, sullen, didn't make eye contact, etc. When we asked him to book us dinner at a specific restaurant we wanted to go to, he said: "Why book at a restaurant when there are so many restaurants around here?" His unhelpfulness was really shocking. When I asked for a phone directory, he said that they did not have one! The breakfast was also really skimpy. This is a no-no-no hotel.

I stayed at the phoenix hotel in feb 2015. It is a basic hotel and my stay was good. Hotel is great value for money. I had complimentary breakfast during my stay which was good. The staff at the front desk and in the breakfast room was also helpful and courteous. On my return back to airport I booked a taxi from hotel which was a bad experience. The taxi driver tried to take a longer route to the airport and I had to keep asking him again and again to take the other route. Also he charged us a huge amount saying it was fixed earlier but the hotel staff did not inform us anything about it. I would recommend this hotel for its value for money.

Very pleased with our stay here, room quality good although I'm not sure it really qualified as "Luxury" standard, bed was very comfortable. Half nets at the big bay front facing window would have been handy to avoid having to change with curtains shut and lights on in the middle of the day. Breakfast quality (maybe a little pricey if we hadn't had it included in the cost of our room) and hotel service generally was excellent. Paricularly liked the setting for breakfast, overlooking the gardens. Plenty of parking which was ideal for us and staff obligingly allowed us to leave our car there after checkout so we could travel back into London for the day.

The room was excellent, very clean and with a sunny aspect. The bathroom is small but perfectly clean and serviceable. The location is really excellent a short walk away from Victoria tube station and also the bus station where the tour buses depart for all the tour destinations. The breakfast area is the only downside. It is well laid out but very small so during the busy times its crowded. Scrambled egg is cooked in a huge bowl in the microwave for a long time so ends up very dry and rubbery. Coffee is good.

Perfect budget stay for 3-4 nights. Location was excellent with all points of interest in London within appropriate range. Near to Kings Cross Station which connects to every corner of London, breakfast included was decent, but would include more variety. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean.

The hotel was just what I needed for the few days i was in London. Close enough to the hustle and bustle but far enough away for a quiet and peaceful nights sleep. Very affordable and clean - only downer was the lack of water pressure in the shower but overall a great place to stay.

I generally enjoyed by stay at Citidines Trafalgar. The staff were were helpful. Some lightbulbs did not work in my room, and there were noticeable paint scuffs on several walls in the room. The housekeeping staff were excellent and very polite. During my three-week stay, only one washing machine and one tumble dryer were working. This was annoying.
