Taj Coral Reef Resort & Spa - Premium All Inclusive

Room - We had booked a beach villa and the room was quite beautiful with all the amenities and beach was just at the backside of the room. With porch area hammock and beach chair. Have fun at beach take a shower come inside the room so the beach sand is also kept outside.Amenities - Two keycards are provided which was very good. Snorkelling mask was provided. There were sports which can be enjoyed like TT, carrom, chess, beach volleyball of course snorkelling and scuba diving which were paid services. Food- Great food with various cuisines from across the world also kid friendly food was available.Staff- All the staff were very cooperative and very helpful throughout the stay and made our stay memorable especially Misvah , Imali and Raina. I will definitely recommend the place for stay for a short vacation.

For our third Maldives vacation, we stayed at Taj CR – Maldives for 5 nights from 26th April and had a memorable stay from all perspectives. The overall property is well maintained with options for both Ocean and Pool villas. There are enough and more things to do including water activities, snorkelling, scuba, spa, gym, etc. The rooms are of good size, well maintained and open right into the beach. The property is ideal for snorkelling and scuba.  There are three great restaurants giving adequate food and drink options. The all inclusive package gave us access to all three – Bokkura, Reef Bar and Open the Grill with varied cuisines based on preference. The spread and taste were exquisite. The bar menu was ideal for the weather/ occasion. I would rate all three in between 8-10. But beyond all this what made our stay really pleasant and enjoyable was the courtesy that was extended to us by all staff. Have to mention Mr Prakash Dubey (Head Chef) who made it a point to daily interact with guest, Ms Sneha managing the guest at the restaurants Ms Laine, Ms Madu, Mr Hussain at Bokkura and Ms Abaigail and Ms Imali at the Reef / Open Grill ensuring a warm dining experience.  Then there was Ms Ruth for a super Spa experience, Mr Tiaan the scuba coach and Mr Pawan at front desk. Thank you all.

Stay was very peaceful. The property is very beautiful and hygienic . Staff is very friendly. We went with our toddler and found the property very kid friendly. Lot of family visit with kids . Have mixed crowd . Only improvement point is the food. The all inclusive package mentions 3 course meal , which is 1 starter, 1 main course and 1 dessert. And kids menu for the child . Portion size is exactly for one person and not shareable. They do say they can accommodate request but you have to keep on asking . Lunch and dinner is this way. Breakfast buffet spread is bread and western stuff mainly. Indian food needs to be ordered from menu. Again extreme delay for one plate to arrive . There is no airconditioned restaurant. So the whole dining experience isn’t great when you have kids with you. Except this everything else is great. The overwater villa stay was worth it. Very spacious and well designed rooms. Great privacy. Should be amazing for couples to visit. Lots of excursion options available.

It was a great experience, Taj hospitality never disappointed us. everyone took great care of my family trip but few names i want to call out as they made it warm and special and those are: Hussain, Imali, Madu and Lujain. They know how to make sure customer feel comfortable.

It was a great experience staying at Taj. The hospitality displayed by the staff, the view, ambience and food truly made my vacation a special and memorable one. Special mention to Amali, Rana, Naisha, Abigail and Sneha who went out of their way to serve us and made stay extremely comfortable. Would definitely recommend staying at this property for once in a lifetime experience. The snorcling guides were also very sweet and helpful.

We stayed at Taj Coral Reef Resort & Spa, during 29th Dec24 to 30th Dec 24. Welcome was amazing and excellent, check in process was also excellent, resorts all amenities and services was excellent, staff were very energetic and pleasant, overall We really enjoyed our stay pleasantly at Taj Coral Reef.

It was a wonderful stay. We chose a water villa for the stay. Staff was so attentive and wonderful . The service was top notch. Special thing about the stay was food. There were wide range of options and everything we tried was super tasty.

Breakfast closes at 10 o’clock and the lunch closes 2:30 afternoon and the dinner closes by 9:30 in the evening. It’s like you stay in a hostel. There is no high tea. If you’re travel-ling with kids, it’s actually a three star resort collecting five star prizes, the food is terrible, not at all suggestible. I felt how can taj group do such things. There are much better. Five star resorts in the same price with excellent and great hospitality services. The star keeps on working on the same shifts which makes them feel tired and annoyed and behave the same way towards their customers. This is very unfortunate. First of all. I am shocked that this is taj group running this way there has to be seriously a lot of collections, right from the fnb to the cleaning part. The housekeeping services are not up to the mark at the same time. The rooms are quite old and need to be hundred percent refurbished end of the day. My day was not good, and i didn’t like it and spa services in the water sports services are way too high and all charged in dollars, which are very very, very expensive.

Rooms, hospitality, and attention towards customer experience, were just great! Absolutely loved it. What I didn't like was their food. They gave free hand in getting prepared whatever I want. However, the taste wasn't good. For Indian vegetarian food I would have expected Taj to do much better. E.g., I ordered Puri aloo, Chhole bhature - both were very disappointing. In dinner we ordered bhindi, which was also not good. I would strongly recommend them to have a chef who would make good Indian food. Also, we had to pay $320 for a boat ride from hotel to Submarine point, which was too high. They should make their prices reasonable.

Our stay at the resort had its highs and lows. On the positive side, the reception, housekeeping, spa, and engineering staff provided excellent service. However, there were several areas that need improvement, particularly in the restaurants. The menu was limited and lacked the variety we expected, and many dishes were overly salty. Additionally, the service at the restaurants was slow, and the staff didn’t display the level of warmth and attentiveness one would anticipate from a five-star resort. In particular, we noticed a difference in the way guests of different nationalities were treated, which left us feeling less welcome. The taj brand is known for its exceptional hospitality, but that standard was unfortunately not reflected in our dining experiences. Another surprising and disappointing aspect was the restriction on our all-inclusive package, where any food ordered after 5 pm came with extra charges. This was unexpected and created a negative impression, especially as we had hoped for more flexibility from the staff. Overall, while we appreciated certain aspects of the service, the experience did not meet the level we expect from a luxury resort, particularly under the taj name. There is certainly room for improvement in staff training and hospitality to elevate the guest experience to five-star standards.
