Amazing stay, people, room and the island. Super clean, great food and amazing vibes. The water is crystal clear making it the best to swim and watch the marine life.

Flying here was the best decision made ever! such a vibe, worth paying! and best part your host! as for me mr. Shamaau! a brilliant person, takes care of guest in a special way, handling and completing procedures by time.

1. Welcome Amenities Videos on the standard pages show complimentary welcome champagne and snack packets upon arrival, which were not provided in our room. 2. Ocean View Villa Amenities Every ocean view villa is supposed to have a floater, 2 life jackets, a torch, and other snorkeling amenities. Our room had only 1 life jacket, no floater, and the torch was not working. We had to call and request snorkeling equipment, which was provided afterward. 3. Room Provisions No milk was available in the room for making coffee or tea. 4. Restaurant Booking There were 2 restaurants on the island, but pre-booking was required a day in advance, which we found inconvenient given the small size of the island and time of stay. 5. Food and Service Quality The quality of the food and the service provided by the staff were good. 6. Overall Experience For the amount of money paid, we expected a much better experience. 7. Transfer Charges The resort mentioned that transfer charges from the airport to the island are payable, but it was not made clear that the only option is a sea plane. Without prior information, we were billed $1,026 USD for the transfer, which was an unplanned expense. Such a significant cost should be communicated clearly in advance, enabling customers to make informed decisions.

*a dream honeymoon in the maldives: a stay at the standard, huruvalhi maldives* our recent honeymoon to the standard, huruvalhi maldives, was nothing short of extraordinary—a perfect blend of luxury, serenity, and tranquility that turned into the best family trip we could have hoped for. nestled amidst azure waters, the resort felt like a slice of paradise. my wife was absolutely captivated by the picturesque beauty of our beach villa, with its pristine sands and serene surroundings. the ocean and lagoon over-water villas were a different kind of magic—my son couldn't get enough of swimming with dolphins, manta rays, and exploring the vibrant coral reefs while snorkeling. it was pure joy to see his eyes light up with wonder at every dive. the exceptional customer service made our stay unforgettable. imran, faisal, afsal, and fin were not only professional but went out of their way to ensure we were pampered at every step. santosh and roshan elevated our evenings with their impeccable bar service, crafting drinks that perfectly complemented the soothing ocean breeze. among the highlights of our trip were the panoramic sunset cruise, where romance met breathtaking vistas, and the honeymoon bonfire dinner on the soft white sand beach—intimate, magical, and unforgettable. the seaplane ride to the resort was nothing short of spectacular, offering bird's-eye views of the turquoise waters and scattered islands. dining at kula restaurant was a serene experience, where we witnessed iconic sunrises that heralded another day in paradise. meanwhile, the sunsets at the japanese-themed beru bar were a riot of colors, perfectly paired with the rich flavors served. every moment at the standard, huruvalhi maldives, felt like a celebration of love, family, and nature’s splendor. it wasn’t just a trip; it was a collection of memories we’ll cherish forever. if you’re dreaming of an unforgettable honeymoon or family getaway, this is the destination to make it a reality.

The hotel was concerned with how can they make a quick buck out of guests and not so much with guest care and experience. They all looked so tired and the programs on venue were so old school. the food lacked imagination and taste. the breakfast chef was least bit interested to give a good meal. Value for money is probably 1 out of 10. The only thing good was the beach etc and that is given to them by nature. not that the “The Standard” had anything to do with it. Other resorts could pretty much offer the same thing. The commercial minded nature of everyone at the resort was just mind boggling. not a Manager in sight who would come and say hello and ask for feedback. I WOULD NEVER GO HERE IN THIS LIFETIME.

Beautiful place we loves our honeymoon there, we took ocean villa was really amazing, didn’t want to leave the property, was. Hard to say goodbye, just the food was really expensive and didn’t like the complimentary buffet

Stayed there for my honeymoon. On the first day of check-in, my credit card details were stolen from my bag in my room during room cleaning even though a no cleaning sign had been set on the door. Transactions were done on it the same day in dollars. No response from hotel on contacting them.

This was one of the natural island resort so we enjoyed at the fullest. The view of our ocean watervilla is mesmerizing. I would definitely recommend the his to my colleagues and friends.

It was an amazing experience staying at the standard. It’s totally worth it. I went on a honeymoon trip, stayed at the lagoon pool villa and on half board. Got complementary cake, wine and an amazing beach side honeymoon dinner(honeymoon benefits) + a complementary floating breakfast & sunset dolphin cruise(for 4 night stay. The staffs were very good and very well behaved. The atmosphere within the resort is really nice, you wouldn’t want to come back.

It’s very nice property - good location - had all good amenities - good villa with private pool. Also they had a small island close by - you can kayak there. Overall very nice experience.

Service provided was excellent. Maldivian food restaurant was very good.

Food could have been a lot better. They should start providing at least 4 star grade food for the price being paid. My experience is mostly hit or miss with the food items. The staff were friendly and tend to our needs most of time probably because it was not too crowded and very less guests overall in the resort.

It was our first trip to maldives me and my husband along with 1 more couple with kids had best time there wonderful experience staff was so friendly and supportive. We did a scuba and vittu took care of everything and made so comfortable like a family, we skip the lunch 1 day but at restaurant benita did her best to arrange a proper food for kids and everyone supper supportive, manage mr. Shaha was amazing person he made us very comfortable and made sure have a good time and look after everything and spend some good time with us took care of our needs. This resort have all the facilities even for the kids and the resort ambiance is unforgettable hospitality was super amazing what do i say more even the kula restaurant chef was amazing his name was mr. Pershana they have good indian food as well u won't have to hunt for dood they have all the facilities for all kind of food. 1 day we didn't got a time for lunch amd we missed yhe timing but ms. Beenita did her best to arrange a proper food for all of us even for kids staff was the best mr. Santosh at kula restaurant and mr. Noor, chef mr. Pershana and manager mr. Shaha all of them were always look after all the guest and make comfortable and unforgettable experience. Thank you so much the standard and all staff for this amazing hospitality.

Location is far from the airport at least 40 min by seaplane and food was amazing.

We stayed in lagoon water villa and ocean villa for 3 nights. Both villas offer outstanding views but I personally liked ocean villa since it has easy access to beautiful reaf that is excellent for snorkeling. We had very comfortable, hassle-free stay. Special Thanks to our host Shamau who was always available for any assistance. Resort offers pristine white sand beaches, crystal clear water and snorkel equipments to enjoy diving. This picturous property is well maintained. Rooms were cleaned twice a day. Wide spread Breakfast and dinner ensured even vegetarians don't feel left out. It's worth to mention that we spotted many colourful fishes, shark near the beach almost everyday. We also were fortunate to witness bioluminescence. To summarise it is recommended place to relax and enjoy marine life both under water and in your lunch/dinner plate 😀

Had a fantastic experience in maldives. This property made it more special. Beautiful accomodation, lagoons, sea life, food, water sports. The best in class with affordable price.

Our stay in the standard huruvalhi was excellent and beyond expectations. It was a magical experience. Right from the time we entered the resort, every moment was a wow moment. The water villa was beautiful beyond imagination. Clean and fully equipped. It was luxury at its best. They even took care of small things like placing a baby crib even before we entered the room. The bathroom was nothing less. It's bathtub and the disco ball light above was mesmerizing. The housekeeping service for cleaning the room was a regular gesture every evening. The jacuzzi just outside our room and the stairs down to the ocean from our room was the cherry on the cake. Every moment was enjoyable and lively for us. The beauty of the resort is at another level. The service at the restaurant was impeccable and the food menu every day for every meal was very good. Quality of food is thumbs-up. The service of the restaurant staff like grace and may others whose name we don't know was outstanding. Very helpful friendly hardworking and courteous staff. I cannot think of any other resort if i have to visit again. Well done team the standard.
