Villa Park Sun Island Resort

Wonderful property. The staff service isexcellent. We are ardent fans of villa property. Though this was first trip to this island. We have been regularly going to villa nautica 5 times. Wish to again and again.

The location is awesome, food was good, rooms were great, just need little more faster service, maybe a special service for water villa guests, a momento at the end of stay, AC needs major improvement in water villa rooms, Fans are just for show.

Had an amazing second stay at Villa Park Maldives with my wife and 7-year-old daughter. The island is massive and absolutely stunning, with tons of activities and a vibe for everyone—romantic spots, family-friendly areas, and lively zones with music and drinks. Staff were outstanding—friendly, helpful, and super welcoming. Big win for us was the kids club, where our daughter was taken care of by genuinely caring staff and stayed busy all day with pool time and fun activities. Food was okay—not bad, but not mind-blowing either. But honestly, the experience overall more than made up for it. We stayed in a water villa that was straight-up gorgeous, and the travel from Malé was quick and smooth with everything handled by the resort. Special shoutout to DJBELZ—my guy. Been friends since my first visit in 2023, and this time he helped me film a full DJ set at the resort. He made it all happen and deserves all the credit. Respect. Villa Park is easily the best value you’ll find in the Maldives. Not the most luxurious—but for what you get, nothing else comes close. Already planning the next visit.

Rooms are good. Food is good. Indian food was available. Natural beauty is excellent. Transfers are horribly arranged and will consume significant time

Water villa property not in good condition. Food is pretty average and hospitality is not that good.

The service good be better. I had to wait over 4 hours for my room to be prepared and when i got my room, it still wasn’t done so had to wait some more. Plus, they promised me some wine and cake for the delay which never arrived (which is fine but it’s unusual for hotels to promise things for delays and not deliver, i did not follow up either but it should have been their duty) further, my host did not brief me properly and did not give a tour of the property. Food was great but could not enjoy the property due to lack of service. Nautica was much better in this aspect.

Very good property and very helpful staff who go out of the way to help guests. Some rooms are old so need some upkeep but staff does everything possible to attend to requests.

Very huge island. And great resort with lots of facilities. Many themed restaurants. Great beaches. Padi diving center

Resort is good, some rooms are old but overall i had a great time

"the hotel is not ideal for spending time on the beach due to the strong sun and hot weather. There are no umbrellas or shelters to protect from the sun, leading to sunburn even without sunbathing. The only options are staying in your room or the closed bars and lobby to avoid sun exposure. The hygiene and cleanliness are limited, but the food is amazing and delicious. The staff is hardworking and helpful. Despite booking beach villa rooms for a sea view, our room was not close to the beach and had no view due to trees covering the full view. However, the sea is clean and shallow, but if you want to swim, you need to move further where you may encounter stingrays and sharks, as i did very near the beach. There are also currents in the sea without any notifications, which can be dangerous for inexperienced swimmers and kids. Overall, it was a good experience for once in a lifetime, but not an option for a regular holiday.

Stayed for 5 days and 4 nights, very friendly and humble staffs, tumor was our guide during our stay and she was super helpful, upgraded our rooms for zero cost. The blue water, clear skies and white beaches will always be in our memories. The food was also amazing, lots of different cuisines to choose from. We had so much fun during our stay thank you sun island

Location was spectacular, amenities and services were very good. The only thing that they lagged in was that the rooms seemed to be quite old. Some renovation will help.

It was a fun experience, a very large resort and probably the oldest. The rooms are clean and well done, however the room decor seemed dated from our expectations. The linen and blankets gave a slightly worn effect. It’s a green rich property, lots of activities to do and courteous staff. The kids club is amazing and my kids got comfortable with the staff there very easily. The quality of food was good but after a few days the menu seemed repetitive - particularly desserts. We also enjoyed the gala dinner party on new year’s eve. Lots of seafood cuisine, so if you are a vegetarian, like us, you will only be able to enjoy a small section of the elaborate gala dinner setup. So it pinched that it was mandatory with limited options. The welcome desk staff were courteous but lacked warmth. And if you need to interact with the reservations team before travelling, which you probably would if you are travel-ling with kids, expect a 24-48 hour turn around on responses. The natural beauty did make up for these shortcomings. So, overall a good experience but if you are a global traveller with 5 star expectations, there may be newer(or renovated) property options at similar price points.

Beautiful property. Wonderful food. But the best part is the quality hospitality and management. Although the rooms could have been better.

The property is good for people looking for long holidays there are lot of amenities and activities. They need to work on customer service and transfer arrangements. I had reached male airport at 2:30 pm and had to wait for 4 hours to board another domestic flight and by the time and we learnt about this after landing. They don’t even hear our concern of waiting in that small airport for 4 hrs and their excuse is that they will not be aware of the flight time to provide us the info well in advance. This resort is not even close to 3 star service.

I had a lovely time here with my wife and kid. Nice staff. We could not get cycles probably because of the season crowd. I wish the resort staff had told us that we would have to take domestic flights from Malè to Mamigili and then take a ferry to the resort. Because there are only 4 flights in a day between these two places. I should have landed in the morning and then taken the afternoon domestic flight. And a night flight back to India. But apart from that it was wonderful
