The hotel is in the heart of the old quarter but the service is not so good. Especially the person in charge of breakfast was very rude. When we complained about him the receptionist guy understood the matter and apologised and the next day he took charge of it. He was nice. Hotel did not have enough staff for luggage pick and drop. Breakfast was very average and not many options especially for Indians. Rooms were okay. Very close to Gujarat Restaurant which is pure vegetarian and also served Jain food.

good location. close to Gujarat pure vegetarian restaurant and in main old quarter area. staff not very helpful. the person in charge of breakfast was very rude. after we complained about it they apologised. no bell was available to transfer luggage to rooms during room change and at check out.

Location was good but morning breakfast was not that great everyday it was same buffet most things were pork, there were few options only for those who eat only chicken.

I had one of the worst hotel experiences at Matilda Hotel & Spa in the Old Quarter, Hanoi. Although I was given an early check-in, the room was in terrible condition – it did not feel clean at all and was far below expectations. The service was almost non-existent. No room cleaning was done throughout my stay. Anytime I needed anything, I had to call the reception 3–5 times before getting a response. The staff seemed uninterested and unhelpful. For Indian travelers – or anyone with dietary preferences – the food is a complete letdown. The options were poor in quality and taste; I wouldn’t recommend relying on their food service at all. The only positive was the location – it’s conveniently next to Beer Street, making it easy to explore the nightlife. But that alone doesn’t make up for how bad the rest of the experience was. Bottom line: Don’t book this property – you’ll regret it. There are far better options in Hanoi at similar prices.

Room and location was good but the breakfast had very limited vegetarians options available and staff is did not even refill when asked

This is the best hotel if you are planning to stay in Old quarter. The market outside is vibrant, train street is just 10mins walk and you will love the vibe and aesthetic of the rooms

It is fake 4 star hotel, Rooms smells like you are staying in spa room. No hospitality. Air conditioner not working, rooms are untidy and need maintenance. Staff is extremely rude. No room service is available, not even a clock boy to pick up luggage. Do not go to this hotel or book it. Worst experience.0 Zero start

The location was fabulous. Every thing was accessible. The staff was helpful and polite. Easy to find. Spa was lovely. The room was spacious and comfortable The location was fabulous. It was one of the amazing experience as amazing staff. Great service and good communication .Location was best with clean spacious room.

This hotel is in central location close to tourist facilities. Indians prefer to stay. Good Indian food near by. Staff is also good.

the hotel staff was so amazing and so soft spoken persons. we checked at 3'o clock in the night but they make sure we have eaten something and gives us some food to eat before we checked in our room. Then on small request they changed our room next day and gives us a bigger and beautiful room even though we payed for the standard room. I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

Staff was very nice, supportive and cooperative. They helped us with Vegetarian breakfast menu also.

Location was good, staff was not willing to provide room (early checkin) even after having rooms available, vegetarian option for breakfast not at all worthy as only fruits you can have
