Horrific experience at best western almaty - strongly do not recommend

My recent stay at best western almaty was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. We checked in after midnight, only to be greeted by an incompetent desk clerk who damaged my wife’s passport with pen markings while photocopying it. This careless act caused significant issues during immigration on our return to india. Despite promises from the manager on duty to address and compensate for the damage, we have received no communication whatsoever. The property itself is far below acceptable standards. The rooms were smelly, poorly maintained, and unwelcoming. Breakfast was a dismal affair, with barely edible options and unresponsive staff. There was no bellboy to assist us, leaving us to struggle with our luggage and an infant on our own. This stay was a complete disaster, and i wouldn’t wish such an experience on anyone. Best western almaty failed miserably in every aspect of hospitality and customer service. Avoid this hotel at all costs.
