Pleasant stay at Hotel Northfield

We reached Hotel Northfield directly from Kathmandu Airport. The roads are pretty narrow, so the cab dropped us at Thamel. The Hotel Northfield was a 2-minute walk from that point. It has its own restaurant, La Bella Cafe and Aqua bar. We didn't eat there, so cannot comment on the food but the Hotel Northfield is surrounded by many restaurants, so you'll be spoiled with choices. Service is exceptionally good. People are very nice and I cannot stress this enough, people are very honest. It was a very pleasant experience and I'm definitely staying there if I'm fortunate enough to visit Nepal again.

Centrally located, at arms distance from pubs and bars, some excellent food, the Hotel Northfield provides great food. The Nepali thali nonveg is something that should be tried for a taste of rural food. Awesome support staff. Ishan the young staff is extremely helpful. Overall the stay and the property is worth every penny. I recommend it. Some might say the noise is an issue, well if you stay at Thamel and want it 'quiet', I guess you should change your location.

Solo travel was really amazing at Northfield. Centrally located, everything at easy access. The restaurant is amazing and the food is good. The Nepali thali is something that visitors should try to have a taste of the mouthwatering authentic Nepali cuisine. I would recommend both the veg and the non veg thali. The Hotel Northfield staff is very helpful.

Ideally located in the centre of Thamel, this Hotel Northfield is perfect for travellers and trekkers, looking for somewhere central with lots of decent bars, restaurants and tour agents nearby to book onward travel/treks. Staff are amazing, food in the restaurant is delicious and the menu is varied and fairly priced.
