Hi, when I booked this hotel I specifically asked MMT by sending email what are the hotel amenities in budget room for two days had paid in July that's called off season in Kathmandu. Firstly room was very far away in other building and there was no lift to reach that corner of that hotel they didn't provide water bottles after first day of the hotel saying they don't have policy of giving extra water bottles except two bottles after arrival and If I want water then have to fill it up from from their cafeteria or lobby which was really far so even if you are thirsty you have to walk down to fill your bottle. There was no TV in the room and to my surprise they don't give toiletries too as it's not their policy. They really have super amazing policies in the hotel which will make your stay uncomfortable to the core and then comes the real scene when I asked them to book cab for my sight seeing per day they were charging extra to take me to 6 places in total and by mistake they didn't communicated to me well also that they are charging more for two days. I was in the impression of only after lot of arguments and misbehavior they accepted their fault and didn't charge me for first and also denied to provide cab to me next day .They challenged me this is the cheapest fare can't get anywhere in Nepal but for their information have got cab at a price which took me to five places without any problem. So their challenge goes for a toss that they are cheapest in sight seeing never book hotel cab for your activities they charge extra by assuring you best of services. It's a first hotel which has given me trouble and made my stay so uncomfortable that I regret why I choose this hotel .

Very close to Thamel, which is very important tourist attraction. Breakfast is great here. Staff are fantastic. Any service request is one phone call away, and responded immediately. I am a regular guest for this Hotel for the past 4 years.

The Hotel was clean, and breakfast was good. But the plumbing in the room was bad, and there are not enough plug points to charge phones. Neither was there a net on the windows to keep insects out. Though the service was great, I will not stay here again.

Located in east Thamel near the tourist bus station. The hotel is in a quiet street with two buildings separated. Room is spacious, yet it is quite dark (not enough lightings). Breakfast is good with a dedicated espresso machine Ich delivers super coffee.

The hotel is not well known so some of the taxi drivers at the airport may ask for guidance, however, the Thamel Area is well known and once at Thamel the local people are able to give directions to the hotel. The hotel is very well located from the point of view of tourism as there are travel agents as well as souvenir shops all around. The staff of the hotel is polite and helpful. There are two sections of the hotel, each separated from the other by the narrow lane that runs between them. The room size is small and may cramp two people with heavy luggage. The room provided to me had one cupboard with three hangers, two side tables and a small drawer. There was no furniture to keep any large sized suitcase. The bed was comfortable and provided with four pillows and a light quilt. There was only one three pin plug point in the room and another in the toilet and three two pin plug points in the room The cupboard had a mirror and the room lighting was adequate. The window opened into another building so the curtains had to remain drawn most of the time. The room was provided with complimentary two half litre packaged water bottles for the first day only after which one had to buy bottles. Drinking water was provided free of charge at a common place in the building. The water supply in the toilet was muddy and despite the hotel's assurance that it would be clean after sometime, it never happened in the four days of my stay. Hot water was supplied only twice in the day from six to nine in the morning as well as the evening. It was made available on request out of these scheduled timings. The water is hard and the soaps don not give lather easily. Soap and shampoo were provided in the toilet. There was no provision in the room for making tea or coffee but one could go to the restaurant and have coffee or tea as many times as one desired and the quality of the tea as well as the coffee was very good and available round the clock. There was complimentary breakfast included in the hotel stay which was of very good quality with enough variety to suit every type of taste. Overall, the stay was comfortable, enjoyable and economical.

I have become a regular visitor to the hotel. Very convenient hotel to stay in the middle of Thamel. The hotel staff are fantastic and helped to make the stay as the best. To be honest, 5 star breakfast is the main attraction to Holy Himalaya. Perfect choice ..
