Morven Hotel Colombo

Good hotel with good food and supporting staff. There is only one problem, they have allowed smoking in the waiting area in front of their hotel, so whenever a non-smoking person enters, there is a problem due to the smoking smoke.

The hotel does not have a gym. It has other basic facilities. Breakfast is basic and it is not so well laid out and does not offer wide choice. Additional water other than 2 small bottles kept in room, one is asked to pay. Lift is poorly lit. When I checked in, there was a big group, so it took a while to check-in. I will rate hotel as good with badic facilities, nothing ectra-ordinary as such

Location was good nearby to all connectivity, rooms are comfortable very neat and clean and food was nice.

Staff is discourteous, lack of etiquette and mannerism. Restaurant staff humiliated me by asking same question again and again, what's your room number? this happened twice in two days.

Best location, good food, pleasing response from the side of all staffs who were engaged in various activities. Enough choices are there for tasty breakfast, fruits and fresh juice. Overall morven hotel colombo srilanka is very comfortable to stay with family. Next time also we would be staying this hotel itself.

This is a good no nonsense budget hotel which is available at very reasonable rates. If you have work in colombo this hotel is very conveniently located to all major offices. You also get to see the sea from the hotel. Facilities are ok and staff is cheerful and hard working. Very reasonable rates for buffet also available.

It was a terrible experience at morven hotel, staff is very rude. After a long flight, when i reached hotel at 4am. They asked for usd 30 more per room. When i denied to pay. They denied to give the rooms to us at 4am. I told them that i have to call cops thn they agreed to give the room. No1 assisted us with the luggage during the check in and checkout time. Avoid this hotel at any cost.

My booking was done with breakfast included but hotel morvin is showing me documents-for room booking only no breakfast included we had to pay for breakfast at the rate of 10 dollars per person for 7 person for 2 days. So i want refund for for the amount that i have paid.

All staff very very bad and not clean rooms

Very nice hotel and has superb hospitality. Enjoyed the stay.

They welcomed the guests very kindly.

On the main Galle Road Sea facing room. Compact clean efficient.

Rooms are ok with basic facilities. Restaurant is just for namesake, has only 2/3 choices. Room service is super slow and attendants make sweet excuses. They do have a Japanese restaurant right next. Don't expect great views of the ocean. Avoid.

Hotel can't be 3 star and more than 2 star.

Located in a posh area next to galle face. Property is new however the washroom could have neater towels. Food had limited options and rooms were very small.
