Stay here for a special and un....
This is a wonderful and true five star hotel. Located on the Lake Lucerne with a great view. Be sure to take advantage of the wonderful pool and spa. The staff is world class a the facility is one of the finest hotels in Switzerland. A great way to get away.

I really really was excited for this hotel. I researched and actually picked this location in Switzerland to stay at for the week based on this hotel. I convinced my husband to spend the money.
The grounds look exactly like in the website. Beautiful and stunning. It is not crowded and we had the pool to ourselves. The spa is a steal. I would pay much more in a NYC La Prarie spa. The breakfast is complimentary and delicious although with small portions. The staff are very polite and helpful. The mini bar in your room is all complimentary and really has a good selection with delightful snacks.
Okay, I feel bad writing this. But I didn't like our room. I'm sorry, I really tried and tried to convince myself how great it was but it wasn't. I told my husband I wanted to get a suite so we could have that extra sitting room space to enjoy the place so we chose that (with a mountain/parking lot view) over a junior suite with a lake view. I chose wrong. The lake view would have been so amazing and if I ever booked again I won't care how much more I would pick view. The design of our room was just not intelligent. There is a guest bathroom in the foyer but the actual bathroom with toilet and shower has no door. It is right next to the bed and is separated by a heavy but see through curtain that doesn't really close and the metal rod that you use to pull it closed hit me and my husband in the head a total of six times during our stay and that was not a pleasant feeling. Also, after someone would take a shower the humidity would just travel into our bedroom and just linger uncomfortably. (I always research pictures of the hotel bathroom before booking but the hotel told us they couldn't tell us which room we would get until we got there. As each room is completely different I did not know this would be our layout) Another thing was the air conditioning. We put it at the lowest it could go which was 18C or 64F. Now 64 in my apartment would be like an igloo. Here it felt like it must be at least 79. I like to sleep cool so it made me uncomfortable and could not sleep well during my stay. The room itself also was very dark and kind of medieval looking and when i peeked into the other suites they appeared much brighter, lovelier, and more modern (including the junior suites) which made me all the more bitter that we were spending so much money on this room which in my mind was clearly subpar to the other ones.
Would stay again but definitely would ask for a lake view suite/residence despite price. If I could not get this I would not stay here.
Great spa with reasonable prices (especially for Switzerland!)
Good and helpful staff
It is a bit far from Lucerne--we took the one hour ferry to get there--and there isn't that much to do/eat in Vitznau besides Mt. Rigi
I would say this is a perfect couple/honeymoon/romantic hotel.
Not particularly kid friendly although they were very accomodating.

Just spent one night at this beautiful place. Received a generous upgrade in a Junior Suite with an incredible view over the lake. The Team treated us as we were regulars and made this short trip very special. Thanks to all of you, we will come back

The Park Hotel Vitznau is superb. We had a suite overlooking the lake, and we couldn’t have asked for a better view. This hotel truly deserves its 5 star rating. We wish we had stayed longer than 4 nights.

Stunning view, great spa
We spent a few days with my wife in the nicely and functionally decorated hotel. Reception was pro active and friendly, lake view from the suite amazing, rooms are large and functional (could have some charging stations close to bed though). Drinks (incl wine) and some finger food from minibar was includedin price and at the beachfront one can also get free water & healthy soft drinks for free.
Spa zone is really nice with huge aquarium downstairs and long pool, partly covered. Massages were great, friendly and professional staff.
Excellent breakfast buffet and brilliant eggs and other plate to order. Also fresh juices.
We really liked the food at both restaurant. From a price/ quality perspective we preferred Prisma to Focus. We appreciate the originality of the fusion mix. Focus was also very high quality of dishes with seasonal and local products. For my personal taste the wine selection for the menu was a touch below what I experienced in same level places. A bit expensive also for the quality.
Now the negative: overall the service was friendly and helpful, but in both restaurants lacking a bit of organization and not at 5* level. At Prisma a friendly waitress introduced herself as our waiter but then another one took care of our service, in focus we were served the wrong plate (was for next table), had high rotation in waiters (one plate was barely presented to us) and in one case an unfinished plate was taken away without asking us all by the same waitress btw...). Finally, there were some mistakes on the bill. Need to beef up service to reach for the stars young chef...
All in all an excellent experience which we can highly recommend.
