Hotel Monopol

Hotel is good, location is very good, breakfast is good but not good for vegetarians, rooms are small, we asked for a double bed as they had given two single beds, the room size reduced further.

Great location with with decent rooms offering stunning lake views; perfect for a serene winter retreat.

my standard category room was booked whose size mentioned was 280sqt and the allotted room no.525 was too small….not more than 180sqt there was no space even to keep the baggage in the room. when requested for a change of room then the reception person named “nyle” was quite rude and straight denied 🙅‍♂️ and said they have received the booking from of double twin bed category room whereas i received booking of standard category room. but there wasn’t any co-operation from his side. in a 4 star category property this wasn’t expected. even when i called for support at midnight the executive told after 23mins of my international call discussion that he will come back with solution in maximum 30-45mins and those 30mins to 45mins never came back till date. highly disappointed with hotel monopol staff. no one is bothered.

The best part about the hotel is its location, right in the middle of the city and next to main train and bus station. Other major tourist attractions are walking distance. Rooms are in good size and accommodated three adults well with a dedicated bed for the third person not the make shift sofa **** bed types. Toilet was of good size and had all essential amenities. Breakfast spread could be slightly better. The hotel provided complementary water bottles too in room which is rare in this part of the world but it was sparkling water only, still water needs to be paid for. Staff at reception is courteous, but in other parts of the services especially at restaurant need to be a bit sensitive. Overall a wonderful stay

The property location is perfect. Very close to railway station, bus station and boat station. Regarding food, the breakfast had a wide spread of different varieties of food for both vegetarian and non vegetarian guests. The rooms were spacious with all the required facilities like tea/coffee making machines, unlike other hotels in switzerland.

Awesome stay with best location and all amenities

Though the checkin didnt take time the hotel was very average more of a 2 star. The approach was terrible. The rooms didn’t at all look like a four star. The bed was creaky and the room was too hot. The fan wasn’t working. When i complained i was told open the windows. Which i had and there was so much traffic noise as well as the noise from the hordes of people gathered at starbucks and 3 other restaurants which are just outside the hotel that i had to shut it. I complained again so the girl said if the edson who sees to repairs comes i’ll get it done. We’ll finally it was done in the evening. The breakfast was very average as well. The schnitzels were tasteless and dice we are vegetarians we were left with bread or cereal only. The only consolation was the station which was just across the street. There was no kettle in the room and we weren’t even told that there’s a common kettle on another floor.

Location was very good and just behind Lucerne station, walking of 100 meters only.

The hotel as claimed 4 star is may be just 1 star. The rooms are too small and no space to keep the luggage. Just squeeze up and stay in the room. The hotel is 10 min walk to the station, that is good and some good restaurants are nearby. The bathroom are too small, the TV do not have many English channels.

What a location, excellent. Bang opposite the station, and opposite the Lucerne river ... Very convenient, lots of food joints around making this an ideal place to chill ... Local travel is very easy from the hotel.
