Room Mate Aitana, Amsterdam

The property is very well located and in close proximity to Amsterdam Centraal Station. The hotel has a restaurant and a bar. I had opted for Family room and it was good enough to fit 3 adults - since we had our 24 yrs old son also traveling with us. He had a separate and good sized bed. We were assigned a room on the 10th floor. However, right next to the entrance of Aitana there are two buildings, which obstructs the view of the water. Being on 10th floor, we did have a good view, but could get the water view only between the two buildings which are right next to it.

A short walk (500m) from the central station and impressive facade and lobby area, but rooms did not justify the 4star rating. We were given an accessible room (though we'd not booked one) with the reason that it was the only room left (though people were checking in after us) the city tax was collected in advance, which was also weird and not something we saw at any other hotel in our entire europe trip, almost like telling your guests that you may not be able to afford the city tax? there was a note in the room that we can opt out of daily housekeeping to help the environment and we should inform the reception, but the person at the reception seemed least interested, as if housekeeping wasn't planned anyway! the tv was dated and had very limited channels if you plan a late night binge. Overall, stay was comfortable, room and hotel location were good, walkable to most landmarks, but maybe not totally worth the rate charged.

388 sq feet room is best room as it have river side view. Suite room was not that good as exp-acted.

Great location, close to central station, good breakfast with lots of varities, large spacious rooms.

Rooms were very spacious and clean. Staffs were helpfull. Its just 1 km away from the amster central station which made our commute very easy. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is 15 minutes walk from Amsterdam central. Stayed in the city view room which was spacious enough. Bathroom had a separate shower area and bath tub. Overall a good stay.
