Convenient to most sites
I just spent 6 nights at the Hotel Alma and enjoyed my stay. The location was near the Grand Place which also made it close to many eating places and sites. Almost everything was within walking distance. Considering the location the room was quiet.
I was surprised that the room was large (relative to some other properties in Europe) with one of the bigger bathrooms I have seen. They offer a good breakfast at a reasonable price. They even had beer on tap in the lobby along with some snacks if you didn't feel like wondering out.
The only item I had an issue was that the room was hot during the day. I understand that the week that I was there that it was warmer than normal but when I asked the front desk they told me that they couldn't control the thermostat there. I am from Texas so hot doesn't really bother me but if they aren't able to make adjustments I would suggest not buying your chocolates until you are ready to leave.
Other than that I would recommend it as a great place to stay.

Good Hotel and Staff
Good location, lovely warm welcome from all staff, walking distance from station and tourists activities, many restaurants and shopping. Good Breakfast and Room. Really enjoyable hotel for Solo traveler and family.

Drop out of bed and into the t....
We spent the weekend in Hotel Alma, and it was great: The hotel is located directly in the town centre and ideal for sightseeing. At the same time, it is very quiet. They have a breakfast bar and a fast coffee corner, and there are several stores where you can buy drinks nearby. And loads of good restaurant options nearby in all price ranges.

Cheap hotel in a good location....
The hotel is situated right in the old centre of Brussels on a lovely cobbled street just round the corner from the Grand Place. The staff are really helpful and friendly. The hotel was clean. We stayed three nights in February and the room we were given was large and spacious but rather sparse. There was no radiator in the bedroom and the one in the bathroom didn’t work. There was a plug in electric heater in the bedroom which kept it warm but the bathroom was freezing. Weirdly, just to rub it in, there was a radiator in the hallway right outside the bedroom door. The room was quiet and we slept well in the comfortable single beds.
The communal areas were cramped but you could get a beer from a fridge in reception and there were two draft beer pumps! You could also get a coffee from the machine in the breakfast room for €1. It was a cheap stay, paying £180 for three nights and we were out and about in Brussels most of the time so we didn’t mind the lack of facilities. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

It's in the heart of city center. You can walk 20 steps to Grand Place. Staff was very friendly and the rooms were big and clean. Only providing water boiler, toilet brush and refrigerator in the rooms would be better.
