Queen's Hotel, Kandy

The location was perfect!! The ambience and infrastructure feels of the colonial era. You feel like entering the 19th century altogether!

Excellent location. Near Kandy lake and Temple of sacreed tooth. Shopping mall in walking distance. Very old hotel but well maintained. Food is good. Staff are polite. Overall a good family experience.

Property gave me the old heritage vibe. since it’s located right bank the kandy lake it’s even better

it was a wonderful stay at this Hotel. Charm of colonial 'bygone' era . it has a multi-cuisine restaurant, a pool along with a bar cum semi- Museum of the Hotel's History

Had a wonderful experience in the Queen's Hotel except the bathroom. Our room has been upgraded to suite room.

Excellent location, right in front of the Kandy lake and the tooth relic temple. The cultural show place, Kandy club is also close by and so is the mall. The hotel is a heritage by itself, symbol of Kandy. Only area to improve is the maintenance. It’s a vintage property, needs more care. The room was super huge and had a great view of the lake from its balcony.

Location is best. Being heritage hotel is a pleasureful opportunity. But the room service and house keeping is below expectations. The food is good. Maintenance of building and amenities like fans, ac, beds, mattresses etc is poor.

Externally hotel was good but lift was not working toilet not properly cleaned

Only good thing is location. Rooms are damped, flush in washroom doesnt function. Entire hotel is dilapidated

Property staff could not find our reservation for almost an hour inspite of showing them the voucher and even after it was fully paid booking. Mm t should inform them in advance of the booking. We were not even able to reach mm t international travel helpline. It was really bad from mm t point of view. Regarding hotel, few parts of the hotel were under renovation and our window was on that side so we couldn't go to our balcony. Restaurant staff struggling with language with foreign tourist.

Very old property, no renovation done, staff are very low quality. Check in was given at 4 pm only instead of 2 pm

The hotel is located in front of tooth relic temple and the lake. It is also near to kandy city center mall. Good location, heritage property with decently good service.

Queens Hotel is good in terms of location, right on Kandy Lake and opp the buddha temple, but it needs to be refurbished and breakfast was pathetic

Had booked a standard king size room, however at check-in was given a standard twin size room. I have heard of hotels upgrading rooms to customers and not downgrading. This was very unprofessional on the hotel's part. After I brought it to their notice, I was allocated the room I had booked (originally) for.

The staff is ill trained, lacking the hospitality that you would expect in classic hotels. The phone didn't work. Not a pleasant experience.

It is a heritage property which is exceptionally well maintained.

Staying at the historical queens hotel was an honor it is the closest abode that you can find to most of kinds cultural sites. The building is lovely and so are the staff. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. Three cheers to all them if I ever happen to visit Kandy again, will certainly be staying here.
Loved the staff they were extremely hospitable.
