Cinnamon Citadel Kandy

The place was decent with good view and comfortable stay. We did not like the restaurant service. Also very few options in veg and the taste was not promising

Property located near river side, excellent view from pool..food is good, rooms were clean and service was good.

Location is extremely good, staff is very helpful and polite.. cocktails are must try. I really enjoyed my stay

This is an amazingly serene property located by the riverside with every room having a blissful view of the river Mahabali. The pool in the center of the hotel provides a relaxing view through the day. Staff are attentive and helpful. I would advise to eat at the restaurant as the buffet offers a wide range of cuisines for every meal.

Property is very far from city. The rooms are very average. It is very clean though but the property standard for the cost we have paid is not right. We stayed for 3 days and had exact same breakfast everyday. They did not change a single thing in the menu. The staff is good but other than food, room and location is very average.

Check in experience was great. Nice and large room. Good river view. Breakfast was good with reasonable no of varieties.

The hotel very interior place and difficult to get cabs or tuktuk also to reach hotel especially in the night time.. and the rooms or very old and ac is not working properly and for the MMT bookings they are giving very less preference on the rooms location .. I strictly recommend not to book this hotel. One more thing is that for our Indians the food items are very less in choice

It was a very nice hotel with very nice view. Only challenge was that it was 5 to 6 kms away from the kandy city so if you are booking uber the driver won't come

Cinnamon citadel is the right mix of comfort and quality. It’s situated next to mahaweli ganga and offers breathtaking views. We had a great time at the property. It’s also locate close to main kandy market and indian restaurant, however at night tuk tuk may charge exorbitant amount for a short distance back. The staff is very courteous and helpful. Great experience overall.

The hotel was indeed something i will never ever book again. Substandard hotel in the guise of 4 star. Where do i start- 1) the food is so before average that for a vegetarian or was a nightmare. The fiber paneer tikka was so hard that i could break a spoon with it, in feedback at restaurant they did nothing- neither replaced and still charged me full for eating raw rice as the tikka was inedible. On checkout when i gave same feedback to reception- the staff was actually smiling and laughing & hardly interested in actually listening to feedback when they actually asked me. Irritates you even more with their non interested attitude 2) you are just a cattle class to them and will push you towards a buffet that was cooked hours back 3) the staff is untrained, and doesn't understand english much- i had to call 6 times to ask them which item they send in the snack platter is actually not veg! 4) basic things like a hair dryer not in room, you have to call them for every small amenity 5) it is a cheap hotel not worth more than 80 usd and they charged me more than 210 usd in the guise of the holiday season, felt cheated and looted 6) the staff at reception is such a turn off with their not interested attitude that i really want to cancel my future bookings with cinnamon during the trip 7) take my advice don't ever book this

Very very mediocre stay. Started off with checkin issues with the hotel where they couldn’t confirm my booking. After an hour of waiting was finally allocated a room. The room was stinking like someone had thrown up in it. There were pencil marks on the walls and the sitting area was stained. I brought this to the hotel’s attn but they didn’t do anything on that day. When i asked for a change of room they were sold out in the category so they wanted me to pay $40 extra for the “upgrade”. The food was the only saving grace and it was delicious.
