Earls Regent Hotel

Earls regent is a beautiful property with mountain view. Friendly welcoming staff , extensive buffet menu and a clean swimming pool are pros of the property. However, bathroom is a bit congested

Room was ok. Bathroom designs should have been better. But the dinner buffet was excellent. Location was good. We paid for both dinner and breakfast which is cost effective.

The hotel while in a good location is very old. The rooms are rundown and the general hygiene is bad. The food options were ok and service is too slow. Can get much better options at this price. Feel free to pass

Location, food - good amenities and services - very poor. Switches were not functional, extension cords were not available, toiletries were missing as basic as dental kits.

It’s a nice mid size property. Lovely location at kandy overlooking the hills. The kids loved the pool. The breakfast buffet was decent. The dinner was good. The hotel was thoughtful to help arrange for a lovely cake for my husband’s birthday. The staff at the restaurant were very nice as well. Overall definitely recommend the place.

No veg food available, water bottles are also chargeable. No fresh towel in the room, room is smelly.

Everything including the food was great except the wifi didn’t work and the pillows in room 111 were torn

The hotel was not very clean. Corridors leading to the rooms were very dirty for a 4-star hotel. They had very limited vegetarian options in their a-la carte and almost none for in-room service.

Very nice location - close to the city centre but also quaint. Views from the rooms above are very good too.

The property was decent. It is not in the city centre so one has to ask the reception to arrange for a taxi or tuk tuk. The rooms were big and spacious. The pool looked great. Spa was decent. However, the service is extremely slow. We didn't feel like the service was up to the mark. They took a long time to serve water during dinner and breakfast. Any call to the reception for help would take at least 20-30 mins for them to get back. We are vegetarians. So they had limited options in the buffet and a la carte menu. Overall we had a decent stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The overall experience was not that great. The food lacked both in taste and variety. Tropical country like sri lanka can't be short of fruits. Pool was small, only one elevator to reach the upper floors. Rooms which were charged more for mountain view, didn't had a clean view on the ground, we could only see houses on the ground because of the shade put by the hotel. This is by all means an under 3 star property, some of the basic amenities in the room are missing, hairdryer, dental kits, hand towels, tissues, etc. For a basic thing like water had to call 3 times and speak to multiple people.

The ambience was amazing, views were worth to look at and there is a cute little jewellery shop within the hotel where you can buy authorised gemstones! though, the iron they gave was dirty and the food isn’t up to the mark as per hotel’s reputation.

I don’t see any flaws or negative points. Everything was excellent from room cleanliness to dining experience to room service. Buffet price is expensive however. Also another con is that hotel location is in very interior. It maybe a con for someone who prefer more sightseeing rather than staying at hotel for longer. Overall excellent !

Amazing place with just excellent food. Out of all the properties i stayed in during my trip to sri lanka. This was the best. Hands down a gorgeous property and just mesmerizing architecture. For the price point i think it is definitely worth a visit. Will be coming back for sure

Property is old but serves the purpose of short stay. Breakfast buffet is good, dinner buffet desserts were good

Poor food and room service. Room is not good and bad in service. They broken our one of luggage and i requested for packing tap and they haven’t provided. Very very poor and bad experience in this property. This is not a 3 star hotel, this is a 3rd class hotel for stay.

Nice place, beautiful room, not so overcrowded and food was very delicious and awesome. The staff was very cooperative and nice.

It was nice yo stay at regency. The hotel was good was clean. Excellent staff. Very clean environment.

View from property was very good. Rooms were not well maintained. Restaurant staff isn't pro and helpful to your needs. Housekeeping staff also least bothered to respond to needs
