The location for this hotel is perfect not right in the center but 10 minute walk into the town. If you're going for the coffee shops there is one literally at the end of the street for when you're walking back to the hotel, this was good. There is also a blue cafe a few doors down for some breakfast. When you walk in you do think oh no because its dark and the stairs are very narrow but its Amsterdam, what do you expect, if you're paying this price its what you're gonna get? Room is small but clean and modern. If you're not spending a lot of time in the hotel there isn't any point going for a better one. Overall good stay here.

Unhygienic and Noisy
Initially, we were excited because the pictures looked good and the location is great. However, upon arrival we were disappointed. The double bed room we stayed in was very small. In addition to this, the bed sheets were not replaced (we stayed for 3 nights) once and it seemed the room generally was not cleaned each day very . During the night, it is very noisy ( ad since there is no a/c) the windows need to be open and as it is very close to the centre, it is inevitably loud. Overall, I was disappointed by the stay. Having been to Amsterdam twice, I would recommend staying a bit further away from the main city centre (Dam Square) as I did the first time as you will get better value for money.

Worst hotel ever
Me and my partner came to the hotel to find out a long staircase with a very thin stairs.
We got to the second floor to do the check in to find out that our room is in a different building and we need to go down with the suitcases we already took up.
The second building was exactly the same with the stairs.
When we got to our room we saw that the bed on our couple room is tiny (120x190) there is no place for two suitcases there is a safe that doesn't even work and you need to pay for her and the shower is with a curtain that was white and now it is orange.
We went to the reception to switch rooms and he switched us the first building, one of our other friends came to the reception after he took a shower and the receptionist started to do annoyed and disgusted faces that we took a shower in the room we switched and started to tell us how horrible it is and we tried to explain him that the friend was in a different room but he hasn't listened.
After he realized that we were in a separate rooms he gave us the key and sent us to the new room.
The new room was also tiny, and the shower didn't even had a curtain but at least the bed was regular.
The most horrible hotel I've ever been to

Situated in a good location to have a good scout around. Lots to see, and great for walking.
Continental breakfast, and reasonably priced. No pets allowed. Good selection of cafes and bars to frequent.
