Dash Resort Langkawi

The rooms are good, clean, and the view is wonderful. The property itself is well-maintained and tidy. However, there is a major drawback that completely ruined my experience, and because of this I would never return to Dash Resort nor recommend it to anyone. On Fridays and Saturdays, they rent out the beach and swimming pool areas for private DJ events. The resort advertises these as if they are open for all guests, but in reality, you are not allowed to join. If you happen to stay during these days, consider yourself confined to your room or forced to go elsewhere, while still having to hear the music and cheering crowd from a distance. It feels misleading and very disrespectful to paying guests. I fell for this false advertising, and it ruined my itinerary. Each day of a trip costs money and requires planning,

Lot of problems in the room like water clog in the bathroom, water leakage from the AC. Heater is not working properly

Rating: 3 - Average The resort is set in a stunning location - right on the beach - and that’s honestly what makes the place stand out. You get beautiful views and easy beach access, which we really enjoyed. That said, our overall experience could’ve been better. As parents travelling with a toddler, we felt the staff wasn’t very warm or accommodating. Maybe they’re just not used to handling families with young kids, but it felt a bit cold. We really missed the kind of hospitality we’re used to back home in India - that personal, thoughtful touch just wasn’t there. A small thing, but it really stood out to us - they charged MYR 8 even for a glass of milk for our baby. I don’t mind paying, of course, feeding my child comes first but it was honestly a first for me - being charged for baby milk at a resort. We had booked the Dash Superior Garden Room, but it felt really cramped. There wasn’t enough space to even properly open up our luggage or move around. Also, service was quite slow, when our baby had an episode and threw up in the room, it took them nearly an hour to send housekeeping, which was tough. All in all, it’s a good pick if you’re going mainly for the location and vibe. But if you’re expecting warm hospitality or are travelling with little ones, you might be left a bit underwhelmed.

We had booked a garden view room for 3 nights and 1 night premier jacuzzi room through Agoda(which was earlier booked through mmt, however mmt screwed up) MMT is selling special package for garden view room charging extra 3-4k per night, inclusions are beach club access, complimentary minibar, fire show access. We found out after check in that beach club access is there for all the hotel guests and there is no extra cost, minibar has ONLY 3 soft drinks and fire show is only on Friday and Saturday (which I’m sure is accessible for free to all guests) what is MMT charging extra for?? This was totally misleading and disappointing experience with MMT. pathetic customer service at all level. MMT has lost my trust and kind of spoiled my vacation. Hotel is good, staff is excellent. Overall wonderful experience, they have beautiful swimming pool and kind of a private beach. Music in beach club is decent, read lot of reviews about loud music however we didn’t find it disturbing volume was ok. Though they definitely need to work of soundproofing of the rooms as at night outside light is disturbing due to gaps in the door.

Excellent property. On the beach, very nice pool, neat and clean room and property, good breakfast, courteous staff, very good location, quite, highly recommended resort.

Tv in our room wasn’t working and wasn’t attended to even after calling the front desk. Loud music all day around till midnight everyday. We stayed for 2 nights and plan to extend booking for 1 more night. They made us check out at 9 am (because we were going for island hopping trip and we were suppose to be back by 1 pm. We came back at 1 pm and waited 2 hours to check in again. Please don’t treat your guests like this. Specially if guest is extending their stay at your hotel.

Stay was good however ac was not working when we checked in. It was fixed but not fully functional. Also as a tourist i would expect that they should be little lenient about checkin and checkout time considering flight timings. No options for vegetarians. Even in vegetarian breakfast they used non veg.

Though the room size is a little small, but overall had a lovely stay, properties highlight is obviously the pool and just too good to be true. Just fell in love with the pool. Had many activities on the beach too.

The location is excellent. The rooms and property were super clean. The staff is good but sometimes forgets the order taken. Loud music till 1 am every night. No choice of food for vegetarians on the food menu.

Our stay in dash was quite good. The ambience, hygiene of the room, the staff were all good. But my rating was marked good instead of excellent as after repeated calls the house keeping staff took hours to come and clean the room. And there also we had to ask them for towels. The way they cleaned the bed was also not up to mark

For location its write on beach and water support activities for room - size is small and also smelly breakfast is average room service is poor

Don’t go for the photos and location. Very pricy. - staff isn’t trained at all - they forget orders, give it to someone else and don’t bother to respond even after multiple reminders - rooms are old and lack proper plan - very very pricey - they didn’t serve buffet breakfast too - we forgot something and called back to request them to check and they denied shamelessly. It was just a few hours and housekeeping would have found it. Still they said no. - worst experience in service
