Warm hosts with decent proper....
We travelled to Salzburg in May 2018 and found the city to be warm and welcoming with none of the business mindedness of large cities.
The hosts at this hotel are quite friendly and helpful.
They upgraded us to a villa room on their own .The French windows open to the sprawling city ahead
The rooms are basic but clean .
There is a dryer available in the bathroom. An iron or kettle are unavailable.
The connectivity with the city is good with a bus stop right at footsteps of the hotel.
A big plus is the HUGE PARKING space available.
We were very happy with the stay .
PS: The host informed us of the Salzburg card which we ended up taking . Very helpful !!
Recommend this hotel for your stay in Salzburg!!

We stayed at the Turner for a couple of nights when touring Salzburg. As the bus stop is close and the Wort sells the Salzburg card you can access free transport to all the main attractions from there and a short scenic bus trip takes you to the centre of town. The hotel is clean and quiet and the rooms are sufficient with comfy beds. Staff is friendly and helpful and this is a good spot to stay over when touring.

Clean, cozy and comfy
Our first time in Salzburg and found this hotel through online reviews and took a chance! We took the train from Munich to Salzburg central station and then one more, 5 min connection to Gnigl stn. From there it was a 10 min walk to the hotel. We arrived early and the staff was helpful and friendly and allowed us to leave our luggage there as we went to explore the city. The bus stops right outside (which is very handy) -- the reception also showed us clearly which bus to take and gave us a map. The bus ride into the old city was about 20 min.
Our room was large enough with ample room for luggage. Beds were very comfy with lovely pillows and blankets. The bathroom was a nice size and all amenities were there. Everything was fresh and clean. We left the window open all night as it was very warm and heard some traffic but nothing intolerable. The hotel itself was very quiet and we never heard any other guests.
We did not partake of breakfast as that was an extra charge.
If you don't mind the bus ride into the main part of Salzburg, I would recommend staying here!

A very pleasant stay in Hotel ....
Hotel Turnerwirt has a very nice location, in the town part of Gnigl and offers nice views of the surrounding hills.
The reception speaks English and were very friendly and helpful throughout out stay. We also purchased the breakfast option and it was well worth it, the food tasted fresh and there was a nice selection of breads, ham, cheese, eggs and others, an ideal way to start your day before walking around the old town.
We had the small room with a double bed and it was spacious enough, some of the furniture looked older but all was in good condition. The only thing I could view as a negative was that the bathroom was a bit small and crammed, but besides that the whole stay was pleasant and if we do go into the same region in the future I will definitely consider staying here again.
They also allowed us to store luggage on our last day when we went to explore the town one last time..
The Hotel itself has a parking lot and is easily accessible by the city's mass transportation (lines 4 and 10 stop directly in front of the hotel and both go directly to the city center and enable a switch to 2, which goes to the train station).
There is also a small store (Penny Markt) located near by as well as several bars and kebap places.

Sweet Salzburg stay
Easily accessible from the S-bahn and even easier by bus, the hotel is very comfortable and pretty. Some say the decor is dated but it is stylish and really what I expected. I loved the paintings particularly. The room was spacious, and we had a view onto the stream next door which was a pleasant sound to listen to as well.
The reception staff are very helpful and gave us a map of the best attractions, and we were also able to purchase public transport tickets which was very convenient.
There are some good restaurants in easy walking distance and our stay was lovely.
I think if we return to Salzburg we will stay here again. Not being right in town meant it was relatively quiet and peaceful, but the bus stop right outside the hotel door made moving around town very easy.
Breakfast was plentiful and taken in a quaint room which was a lovely setting.
