Sweltering rooms and VERY rude....
First, I have to say that Lou (or Lu) one of the managers was absolutely lovely. The Wi-Fi was good too, as was the water pressure in the shower. In the end our stay was ok, but the extensive negatives below unfortunately impacted on our stay and comfort, therefore I can't score this place any higher.
We booked to stay in Vogelweiderhof rooms (part of this hotel). The room temperature was in the mid 20s (degrees), we couldn't open the window because our neighbour was constantly smoking out of it and it was blowing in our room and the staff refused to activate the fan for us because 'it's not the season.' The receptionist was extremely rude to me and rolled her eyes at me when I asked to speak to the manager. She said they would be back in 1 hour. 1 hr 30 mins later and no sign of the manager. I tried to speak to the receptionist again and she just held her hand up at me as thought to say 'be quiet.' Her attitude was appalling (although did improve the next day). After explaining over and over that we wanted to sleep, the room was too hot and we couldn't open a window we were offered to move to the hotel (main building), away from the smokey neighbour. During this time I received a call from booking.com stating that the manager had called them saying that I had been demanding a fridge in my room. This never once happened! On booking, I made a special request, saying that we had a few food items with us that needed refrigerating and if they could accommodate this (i.e. in their kitchen) this would be great... of course, this request was not even acknowledged.
- no kettle in room even though it's advertised with one. Had to ask for this.
- no phone in room so back and forth to reception which was in a different building at the beginning.
- towels that small they didn't even fully wrap round me and I'm 5"2 and slim. My 6"1 partner had no chance!
- curtains don't cover full window so really bright in room
- shower tiny
- lots of sharp edges on compacted furniture...scraped arm and leg
-filthy floor- wear shoes at all times

Nice room but a weird place
Stayed here from the 10th-12th November, we arrived at the hotel in the evening and it looked like the place was closed, once we checked in having had to use the stairs we were greeted to a nicely appointed room.
The bed was comfortable and the Wifi was good. The train station is a 15 minute walk and the old town can be reached in 10 mins from the bus stop outside the hotel.

Out of town and run down
From the outside when we arrived you just knew this was not going to be good. The hotel looked run down, front garden full of rubbish, empty beer cans cigarette butts and broken toys. Put us on 2nd floor, no lift and dodgy stairs. No one on reception at night. Was kept awake from 2a.m to 7.30 a.m by loud music and shouting from group of young drunk Austrians. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, the nearest bar is 20 minutes walk away, the town is a 40 minute walk or 20 minute bus ride away !
Only plus was the breakfast was good, plenty of variety.
I would not recommend this hotel.

We stayed there one night, it was good. Rooms are big and modern with very comfortable bed. Good internet and TV connection. Guy on reception was friendly and welcome us with our surname before we said who we are. Next to hotel is one Asian restaurant and u will need about half of hour to reach city center. Recommend.

Average hotel but overpriced
This hotel is located just besides the public transport (Bus) station, so gettng there was easier.
Rooms are OK with basic amenities.
Restaurant remains open only in the morning.
Overpriced as compared to other hotels in the same vicinity.
