It was wonderful stay in the hotel. Very friendly and courteous staff. Room size is quite decent. Overall excellent stay

A very nice hotel with a very courteous staff. A sumptuous breakfast with big spread of choices. Lot of cleanliness and hygiene.

The room was big enough and its at 10-12 mins walking distance from Salzburg station. Mirabell Garten and Old Town square is also at walking distance.

The place is conveniently located and within walking distance from major attractions and salzburg old town. Two indian restaurants are also within walking distance. Rooms are comfortable. Staff is helpful and courteous. Great breakfast spread. We inf-act walked in for breakfast after closing time, but they kept it open for an extra 15 minutes for us. The rooms could need some additional maintenance (especially the carpeting)

The hotel is located in a quiet place, and the old town is just 10 mins walk away. The check in process was extremely fast, and the hotel staff is nice and friendly, a special thanks to Mohammed who made our stay comfortable and gave us great tips about Salzburg.

Good for family stay or couples, it's banging opposite to Holiday Inn so do compare rates before booking. While the room is spacious and staff is polite and professional our stay was not so good as in-room wifi wasn't working even after bringing it to front desk attention, they didn't fix it and that is a grouse we have. If you book the standard room you will get two twin beds again not ideal but you can always join the beds. Location is good about 800 meters or 10-12 min walking distance to Oldtown. Salzburg has loads of hotels so you can be closer to the old town which is where all your time will be spent.

Mercure Salzburg is very outdated hotel with bad upkeep. The hotel is quite old and all the areas including rooms are quite run down. Overall it was not at all value for the amount of money paid for the stay

Of all the hotels that my wife, my eight-year-old daughter and I stayed at, Mercure turned out to be the worst and the most unfriendly. A couple of people manning the reception were not just unfriendly but unhelpful. Check-in was delayed because they wanted to accommodate a group check-in. The group checked in first while we (who were there 3 hours earlier) waited patiently. Then when one tried ordering room service, we were told it was unavailable due to the group check-in. We went down to eat at the restaurant and were turned away as they were feeding the group. In all my years of travel either on work or on vacation with the family, I have never faced such a non-friendly hotel.

Hi, I stayed here for my family vacation. There were so many issues. I raised all to general manager. Its been 3 days. No revert no action. I request MMT to not to deal with them in future.

It is away from old city. More than 1 kilometer.

We spent the Christmas weekend here and found the hotel to be a good value choice to base oneself in Salzburg. The hotel is walkable from the main train station and the old town center. Though depending on bags and weather one can take the tram No 2 or a taxi. The hotel itself is simple and lacks a unique character but makes it up in delivering core services efficiently. So it is quite popular with tours and groups. The rooms were compact but very clean and the mini-fridge and electric kettle were useful. It had sufficient storage and clean modern bathrooms with amenities. No views to speak of from our room (115). The breakfast was elaborate with nice options and a very good tea selection. The WiFi was reasonably strong. While the immediate area around the hotel is a bit dull, it does have a few good restaurants like Chinese, Thai and Indian and departmental stores.
