Citrus Hikkaduwa Hotel

The hotel was good. Very satisfying. It’s close to important places in Hikkaduwa. Breakfast and dinner are good enough. Even the in room dining prices are good and better than smaller restaurants outside. Staff were very sweet and helpful.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Citrus, Hikkaduwa. Great service, courteous staff and delicious food. Last but not least, beautiful beaches.

Excellent location right next to the beach with direct beach access. Food was average. Decent pool. Room was ordinary. Bed was not comfortable.

Citrus Hikkaduwa is centrally located and right on the beach. We found convenient to stay in Citrus Hikkaduwa because Galle and Mirrisa are in proximityto south and Colombo to north. Their sea view rooms are awesome. Their restaurant is right on the beach having a wonderful spread for breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The staff is very friendly and polite. The service is fantastic. Since we were going to Mirissa for Whale and Dolphin watching at 0500 am, they had kept our breakfast packets ready on the reception counter. Over all the place is very clean and wonderful

Location is excellent. Food was very good. The pool is clean. Seems highly patronised by european tourists. Highly recommended for a perfect beach holiday.

Perfectly located on the shores of hikkaduwa beach with matching hospitality i would recommend it everyone who wants spend a beach holiday. The rooms are spacious with balcony. The food will suit an indian palate. The staff are courteous and helping

Property is just wow, the view when you enter hotel lobby is mesmerizing as it is pool view and ocean view. Property beautifully maintained. Staff is very polite and chef at restaurant was warming that they prepared indian food for us in breakfast when asked for.

Cost was too expensive for the low quality and poor service. It is max 2 star hotel. Wrong info and pricing by mm t. Felt cheated and mislead

We stayed at citrus for 5 days and it was really relaxing and enjoyable experience. Kudoz to the staff who were ever helpful and supported us with extended services as we were with kids. The swimming pool is clean and with comfortable temperature which you and your family can enjoy all day long. The location of the hotel is also perfect and you can walk along the street or by the beach to access all the activities and good restaurants around

The property location is just amazing where it is situated right on the beach with the rooms having a great view. You can walk down to the nearby stores and restaurants. The rooms are a bit outdated and lacks amenities, the property could improve and upgrade the rooms. The restaurant food was good and tasty, could add more variety. Overall it was a good experience and a wonderful stay.

This is the kind of hotel you can just chill whole day, luxury and what a view.

Location couldn't be any better than this. Hotel looks very old. But I feel rooms need serious renovation. Though everything is there in room, maintenance is poor. Cost of the rooms are very high considering the tariff. Breakfast tries to cover multiple cuisines, but miss out on variety.

The room we were given had a great view, the room itself was spacious with a balcony but we felt the room was very poorly maintained. The floor was not clean, curtains were dirty and bathroom was hardly maintained. The first night itself we had to Page house keeping to get the wash basin unblocked but again we got into same issue the second day. The food was average and breakfast buffer was ok with some options. Staffs were helpful and polite and front desk too was respectful and polite. The location of Hotel is great, right on the Beach and there is a departmental store and ATM right opposite to the Hotel. Overall I would rate it as an average stay, except location we felt every thing else was little bit on the disappointing Side.

Good view of sea and lovely beach. Staff are ignorant of many things and easily say no to guests.

Had paid for a double occupancy room. Due delayed flight I reached around 3 am on 5th morning. The staff told me I have to wait till 2 pm. It took me an hour to make him understand that I have paid up from 4th noon onwards. Very funny indeed.

We stayed at Citrus for two nights, and we were totally disappointed. The room had a common door with the next room. We could easily hear people in the next room. This was not mentioned anywhere while booking. We requested the hotel guys to change the room, and they said that they were completely booked for the night. The pictures of the hotel posted online are very deceiving. The hallway on the 6th floor is very narrow and the lift entrance is dingy. There were no bath mats provided, and we had to ask them twice. The hotel didn't have umbrellas to spare for the guests, considering the fact that it rains so often. The hair dryer provided was partly broken and not properly functional. Our stay here was not pleasant and it ruined our time in Hikkaduwa. This hotel is not worth the money and you can find other places that provide much better amenities for a lesser price. P.S. - I have pictures for all these, so I am not just making this up.
