Hotel De Hallen

Overall stay: i had a pleasant stay, the neighborhood is a big highlight—but just a heads up, it’s about a 30-min commute to central station. Staff & service: one of the standout aspects was the staff, especially akram, who was incredibly friendly and patient. he gave us great advice on the main attractions around the city. however, it’s worth noting that room service wasn’t available during our stay, which was a bit of a letdown. Room & comfort: the room was super comfy, no complaints there! but i found it a bit unusual that the toilet had a transparent glass door with no lock, it might feel awkward for those not staying with close family. another issue was the mini-bar being completely empty, and unfortunately, the room was quite dusty. one morning i noticed a thick layer of dust on my phone, which i had left overnight. this makes the air circulation seem poor, so i’d suggest avoiding eating food inside the room. Location & surroundings: the location is excellent—just a 3-minute walk from foodhallen, which is an absolute vibe! the energy, the people, and the food are on another level. i tried mexican food at taqueria lima, and it was fantastic. i even met someone kind there, but sadly didn’t get her contact—she served food that was truly out of this world. Cleanliness & common areas: while the room had its issues with dust, the outside/common areas of the hotel were extremely well maintained. honestly, it felt more comfortable sitting outside the room than inside at times. Final thoughts: if you're looking for a stylish hotel with a great location and social vibe, hotel de hallen is worth checking out. just be aware of the minor discomforts inside the room, especially if you’re particular about cleanliness or privacy.
