Ah Shan Hostel

Service is bad. Hostel advertises that they provide 1 towel, however in fact they do not: they want to charge for towel usage! (And that was private double room, not a dorm. Even the cheapest places in Chinking do not go that low for such towel scam. Wi-Fi connection is extremely poor, I had to go out of the room to catch a signal. Room is dirty and has cockroaches and sink stinks. Location itself is convenient.

I am not sure if one can call this a hotel. Its actually sets of rooms in different portions of a big building called 'sincere mansion'. There are other hostels/hotels and residents living in the building. But if you are on a budget and just want a place to crash, this is a good place to stay considering the price, location, free hot/cold water and common fridge thats provided. The lady at the reception was helpful and gave printed directions. The room and the toilet were really cramped. But one has to keep in mind that this is hong kong were living space is a luxury. There are no facilities like a restaurant, that you would expect at a hotel here. Its just a private room with a toilet, a normal bed and a TV. But that's enough if you want to save money and are in Hong Kong to be outdoors most of the time.

The location is superb .. Very central but the rooms are like pegion holes ... Overall experience was not too good. The only happiness was the location of the hotel which was very close to MTR and the markets and the bus stops but the room was so small that perhaps even one individual would require atleast double the space to be a little comfortable in this room
