Disgusting and Terrible!
I book this on Expedia and boy was this a bad idea. I arrived and it took me 20 minutes of walking around to find this place from the subway stop. They tried to charge me extra because I was a walk in customer. I had to explain to them that I had already booked with Expedia and that is only when they backed off. The room they gave me was disgusting. Mold was everywhere and parts of the drywall was missing. Fortunately I was only in transit to go to another city in China and I was only there for one night. Please ignore the photos and STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best quality for the price
Everything you need is there. Location is not that bad, no breakfast is served. Room is OK but rather small. Definitely small if you are two with luggage. Corridors can be noisy but mainly due to Chinese standards. If you are on a budget, 24€/ night is a good deal

Good value for money
I can really recomend this hotel - clean and affordable, good location ca. 7 mins to metro. Good restaurant in the ground floor. Unfortunately it is allowed to smoke inside the hotel, so you can feel the cigarettes in the corridor and bathrooms but not in a sleeping area.
One thing that was problematic - the bathroom wall was a GLASS WALL (of course a little bit dimmed so it was only 1/3 see-though but still quite uncomfortable even for a couple).

Good but could have been bette....
We arrived quite early in the morning before 9am and were told check in isn't until 12. We waited in the lobby trying to work out what to do, as we had just had a long train journey from Beijing, when the receptionist said a room was ready for us. This was very handy for us!
Room was fine albeit slightly small. Bed very bad, rock solid and hard to sleep on. Smallish shower but had good pressure and heat.
Cleaners were very loud outside the room talking on their walkie talkies, was woken up numerous times because of this.
Tube is only 350 metres away HOWEVER there is a police station in between so you have to walk around which is a minimum 10 minute walk if you walk fast.
Receptionist spoke good English.
Didn't try the restaurant downstairs but looked reasonable prices from 30 yuan upwards.
When walking out of the hotel and take a right then another right there is a few mini marts on that street which is convenient.
Every night without fail there is numerous prostitute cards put under your room door so not family friendly but we had no issue and just put them in the bin.
Reasonable price for Shanghai if you don't mind using the tube everyday (Daibashu station is closest).

You get what you pay for.
We stayed here for one night only after a long flight.
The location isn't as bad as others have said, as there are plenty of eats around including a Starbucks. Realistically you wouldn't stay here for the location anyway as there is nothing to see nearby.
The room was quite damp, the beds pretty hard and the air con would not switch on. We had to leave a window open, which next to a freeway was pretty noisy.
However the hotel was such good value for money one can't complain too much, especially for a short stay.
