Low cost average hotel. The facilities are not of IBIS standard. Reception staff is helpful but not easy to communicate. Location is very peaceful and whenever you go out make sure you have the address written in Chinese. Subway metro is nearby so easy to travel and it is cheap too.

Location perfect, room 33. Floor nice at 1 glance, offering great view to Bund, but details like suitcase support, toilet, bathroom, wash basin aren't practical. Architect just des ...
Nice big Hotel, Plush Lobby, Room is not bad. English speaking staff at reception. Great View from room. Love the Table Top switchboard. Excellent Buffet Breakfast with all possible options from Congee to Cereal to Croissant. (Yes, omelette too.) (Free in pkg. Check before you book). WIFI (Charges Rs.80 (10RMB) Per min) is a huge turn off. Free for Superior rooms/Suites. Charming Retro neighborhood. Little Traffic, hardly crowded - ironically for one the most populated cities in the world. Scattered with fashion stores and Cafes/Restaurants and WIFI telephone booths! Well planned area for its time. Close to the Prime shopping zones: Equidistant from Huaihai Road and Nanjing Road. 5/10 min walk to Metro stations on above roads from hotel. Easy commute from either Hongqiao or Pudong Airport to this Hotel by Metro. No fuss 3 minutes check in or check out. Enjoyed the stay. Grab a Map, get out of the hotel and start exploring. Check out Fu's HK Restaurant next door.

we had a nice king size comfortable bed in a clean and spacious room. The main issue was the reception desk - not able to communicate in english. We had a business deluxe room but the internet was not working - we needed to go to the business office a couple of times per day and in one instance it was closed at 8:00 instead of 8:30. We called to see how to start the air conditoning but was told that you can only have a3c above 26 deg celsius. We ordered room service and our 2 dishes arrived uncovered on a platter from the first to the 8th floor - I wonder how many peoples sneezed on my meal getting to me. At the breakfast buffet the tables are dirty and they don't change the placemats, you use the same one as the previous person. Too bad, this hotel is well situated and frankly the rooms are decent but that's not enough for me the consider coming back.

Hotel staff is helpful, location is good but staff speak very less english but this is common across China. Hotel facilities are also good and hotel is beautiful. Overall its a value for money hotel and worth every penny. Though it would have been good if hotel has some email ID to contact to.

Please, inform some members of the staff at desk, that European visitors use to queue up, so it would be fair from them to talk to guests who arrived earlier. Jumping queue is national sports in China, but at least in hotels we should keep rules as they are internationally standardized.

A very clean n beautiful hotel that suit everyone, except smoker. I stay here for nearly a week, although the subway is 15-20 min distance, but with a lot of good food in shanghai, this is a must exercise. Special thanks to HELEN (GM), that she make her effort by sending me to railway station.
