Well located and unpretentious....
This place is unbeatable on location. Short walk from the airport train and also from the centre. An old building, converted, so a bit of a rabbit warren. Smallish rooms but good sound proofing and plumbing. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast included.

Absolutely perfect location! N....
Hotel Domizil (with an L at the end) is located just a corner away from the St. Stephans church. There are plenty of sights and restaurants around the centre within a walking distance. Hotel is clean, breakfast is good and staff is friendly. Rooms are quite basic, but will do.

Very good value
This was our second stay here over the last year, both equally as good. This time we had a standard room on the 2nd floor which was large. Toilet and bathrooms were separate rooms and there was no bidet so clearly different rooms have different arrangements. Altho this is not a luxury hotel, it is clean and smart and very good value for money and has an excellent location behind St Stephensplatz.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The location is excellent, walking distance from almost everything in the city center. Friendly helpful staff and a decent breakfast. It is not a fancy hotel but it is very comfy and has good value for money. Definitely would recommend

Well located mid-range option ....
We recently spent a week in Vienna and stayed at Hotel Domizi, finding this to be a well-located and generally good property in the heart of the city centre.
Reservation was made on booking.com a few months prior to our stay. Email confirmation was sent immediately and we were well received upon arrival. Full payment was made at the end of our stay.
Throughout our stay we found front desk staff to be very friendly and polite. Left luggage is available for those arriving early or departing late after check-out.
As for location, Hotel Domizi is very well situated for those who want to spend the majority of their time exploring the city centre. The Stephansplatz U-Bahn station is jus a few minutes walk from the hotel. You can also walk from the Wien Mitte Station in 10-15 minutes if you are arriving by flight and plan to take the CAT into the city from the airport.
We found our room to be spacious and decently furnished. Decoration was simple and on the verge of minimalist. Bed was ok. Not the finest mattress in the world but we were able to sleep and rest generally well throughout out stay. Room included two sitting chairs, small oval shaped table, desk and seat, a nice sized closet and plenty of space for large luggage.
Bathroom was spacious and fine. Shower water pressure good and no problems with hot water. Room included TV with 2 English channels, kettle with coffee & tea and a decent view down until the street below.
Not so great was the house cleaning during our stay. They missed some things and could have easily done a better job. However, nothing terrible to complain about. Room safe was tiny, only large enough for passports and cash, no cameras or laptops of any shape or size. Noise levels were higher than we normally like as well. Similarly, nothing terrible but it was rather easy to hear people walking down the hall outside our room and loud people on the street in the middle of the night. This could be an issue for light sleepers.
Unfortunately wifi was unstable and of mostly poor service throughout our stay. Sessions were regularly interrupted and speed very slow. In the morning and mid-afternoon when other hotel guests were making use of the hotel's internet, it was particularly bad.
Stay included breakfast that was a nice range of breads, cheeses, meats, cereal, yoghurt, fruit as well as cooked eggs, potatoes, bacon and sausage. Fruit juice was available each morning as well as fresh coffee or tea. It was a good breakfast that we appreciated having each day.
In the end, not the fanciest or most modern of hotels you will find in Vienna. However the location was great and rooms decent for the room rates we were charged. We would likely look at other places next time we visit Vienna but would be fine to consider staying at Hotel Domizi again if the price was right.
