Molto consigliato!

Good B&B and helpful owners

We traveled as a family to celebrate new years eve in Salzburg. We found hotel on the internet and booked by calling the owners. At first we were afraid that the room might not be available because we were not asked to make a deposit but upon arrival we found everything to be ok. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was good an there was a good variety of choices (maybe because it was high season). The service was also very good and despite the fact that there is no bar at the establishment, when we asked for a pot of tea after being all day out in the cold not only we were served straight away but it was also free of charge. If we visit Salzburg again we will stay at the same place!

Nice B&B

Nice, clean and comfortable room with a very big bathroom. It was raining and having the heating on was special. The breakfast was OK , but nothing more In general, it is a nice appointed small hotel ; includes free parking , WiFi , safe. The location is not optimal if you have just one day and want to see the old city. We booked through the local Tourist Office and have been told the hotel is located 15min walk to to the old city . Well this info was misleading.

Gave away our room, bad servic....

We booked a room in this hotel to have an accommodation for our last night of our road trip. We confirmed we would arrive in the late afternoon. After a long trip we arrived at 18:15 at the hotel. We had to wait at least 30 minutes before there was staff to help us. The very old man was not friendly and couldn't help us. Finally the (also old) hostess arrived and was there to tell us that she gave away our reserved room to another couple. The reason for this was that we arrived after 18:00... She didn't call us to check if we were still coming or not, just gave it away. Since we had lots of stuff and had to attend to the finish location of our roadtrip we were in desperate need of a place to sleep. After complaining to the hostess she called another hotel to see if there was room. The solution was a hotel which was twice the price and half an our drive from our finish location, so not an option. A little confused we waited at the entrance thinking about a solution. By coincidence some other guests were leaving the pension. The hostess didn't know this (!) and offered us the room of the leaving guests. After preparing the room we could enter it. Room was 'ok', sanitary was a bit outdated. Breakfast the next day was also 'ok'. After that we wanted to check out. The same hostess as the day before told us we were sleeping in a more expensive room than we had booked (because it was bigger...) so we had to pay 20 euros more. She was convinced that she told us so the previous day, which she didn't. After refusing to pay the extra money she was threatening to call the police. In the end we paid and left with a bad feeling. I think it's a bit pathetic. These people are very old and obviously can't manage this hotel. In combination with there attitude I think they still have to work for a long time before they can retire. To conclude; bad service, stubborn staff, breakfast 'ok' , rooms 'ok'.

dont forget anything at the ho....

we stayed in that hotel for one night and it was everything ok except two things: one is the breakfast - it may be a typical local breakfast, but it includes only some cereals chips, butter, honey, 2 pieces of cheese and 3 hyper slices of some salami...and that for all 3 members of the family. the other thing that bother me was that they did not answer to my e mail regarding the lost of a phone in my room. and that for 3 days. in the end, i manage to contact the hotel manager at the phone and she told me that they search for the phone but they didn t find it. i specified that my car was parked near hotel at 10 ft, and i never step down the car till reach the borders of Austria and see that i have no phone. all i get back was an ” sorry. auf viedersen”
