Club Villa Bentota

Well, we were ecstatic to stay in Club Villa because of only one reason - Geoffery Bawa and we were not disappointed. We booked the Deluxe Room, the room allotted to us was beautiful but much to our horror it was infected with small insects and wall lizards, so the initial experience was horrible, we expected we will be given a different room but they just used insect repellent but for the next 3 days it wasn't a problem anymore. The stay, food, staff and the view is impeccable. The rail line passes just in front of the property, you cross the tracks and voila you have Bentota beach. The third day of our stay, stolen from our suitcase and we didn't even feel like saying anything to the staff as we were too saddened by this. A beautiful experience was led down by this one incident.

We stayed in club villa bentota , we are a family of 3 adults and we booked an executive room seeing it had 3 beds but ultimately booked another standard room for our adult daughter . The club villa is a lovely property just across the ocean. You cannot see it from room but just cross a train line running through property and here you are. Trains passing in front of you was novelty but never an annoyance. Location is convenient. The bar at restaurant serves Alacarte food and everything was tasty and good quality. The breakfast was sumptuous, choices of western and srilankan type , no buffet but quantities are huge. The sea at villa is bathing friendly , beach very sandy smooth. Will give it 5 star on all accounts.

Most exhilarating experience. The Club Villa Bentota was very well kept and the staff was very cordial. All of them, including the f&b manager. They even arranged for a sumptuous breakfast on the potion of our room. The spears was amazing. There is train track between the Club Villa Bentota and the beach, which was very new to us and amusing. Just added to the charm. The beach was very quiet and beautiful. The people at reception were a little bit uptight but surely nothing that we indians cannot manage. Over all a memorable experience. Will surely comeback!

Food,stay & customer service in all Club Villa Bentotas were excellent. Friendly approach by the staff. Only thing is morning breakfast should be included in the tariff itself so that it would be comfortable to people like me senior citizens. Other wise we enjoyed & the properties are excellent. Thanks

It was the best stay ever. All the staff were very polite and prompt. The villa itself is a very serene and beautiful place. We really can't express in words the experience of the stay,. We will definitely go back here during our next visit to srilanka.

From the time we set foot in the Club Villa we felt elated with the serene and regal environment. The old world charm was there in all its glory, giving nostalgic pangs of the marvellous architecture of the era gone by. Could not have asked for a more pristine setting.

This was the last of the 4 Club Villa Bentotas we did in our 10 day trip. Boutique resort, just 15 rooms and a lovely lawn and a 20 met pool. Outstanding service, good food and just a min walk across the tracks to the bentota beach.

Club Villa is a wonderfully designed Club Villa Bentota by the master architect of Sri Lanka, geoffrey Bawa. We had a wonderful experience during our stay here. Beautiful landscape, nice swimming pool and delicious food, this place had it all!

Location is great, very close to the bentota beach. Property is neat and clean with lush green garden, clean swimming pool. In breakfast, they serve set menu and not buffet t menu

Very nice atmosphere. Relaxing time.
