Excellent Stay

Overall, a great stay with some memorable highlights. I had booked a non-beach-facing room but was pleasantly upgraded to a beach-facing one at no extra cost. The private beach was clean and well-maintained, with plenty of loungers for relaxing. Each room is provided with an umbrella, which came in handy during sudden showers. The resort has a beautiful ambience—perfect for evening walks or playing outdoor games with kids. There’s also a jetty to explore, though it’s unguarded and can get quite windy. Room service was fast, and both check-in and checkout were smooth. A few areas for improvement: the food menu could definitely use more variety for vegetarians. Staying for more than three days, it became repetitive. Also, only two complimentary water bottles per day felt insufficient for a tropical location. They offer several complimentary activities with the booking such as steam bath, glass-bottom boat rides, and snorkeling. While we couldn’t participate due to other travel plans, snorkeling in Mauritius is a must-do. Evenings at the resort were lively with live performances—we especially enjoyed the Sega dance and music. There's also a colorful replica of Umbrella Square near the reception, great for clicking photos.
Good hotel in South Mauritius

Expansive Tamassa Resort, with 3 swimming pools. Direct beach access with complimentary glass bottom boat ride and a few other activities (pedalo, kayaking and snorkeling). Good breakfast options (we stayed 3 nights) and the burgers at the truck are nice as well. Rooms are spacious, with the family room having a separate bunk bed room for the kids. There was live music every evening next to the bar area. Carry your own toothbrush and paste - the Tamassa Resort doesn’t provide any toiletries. Expansive Tamassa Resort, with 3 swimming pools. Well maintained property but food needs to be sorted!

1. Property is well constructed with all facilities like 3 swimming pools, tennis courts, gym. Private beach is the cherry on the cake. Swimming pools are temperature controlled. Rooms are spacious, well lit up and airy. 2. Challenge is there is no restaurant where you can order a la carte. As per their policy, one has to opt for thier buffet lunch / dinner. There are no indian options in the buffet. Limited room service menu is available for dinner. Again, no indian options despite huge turnout of indian tourists in mauritius. Delivery charge of 200 mur is charged per person for delivery of food / beverages at room which i have not seen in any country/ Tamassa Resort. There are no restaurants around this area as well. All in all food is a challenge. Housekeeping could be improved to ensure basic stuff. 3. Surprise however was the Tamassa Resort conducts some activities for kids in the creche. We could not avail much as we were out for sightseeing. However its a good facility.
Bad treatment with INDIAN guests
Supriya Rathore
The staff really needs to improve their behavior with INDIAN guests. They offered welcome drinks and hot towels to the white guests right in front of us, but when we asked, Vaidehi from the reception told to collect it directly from the bar as they “didn’t have enough glasses.” Later, during dinner, we were given the most corner table. This happened for two consecutive days and when we requested a different table, Priya from the restaurant told it was reserved. However, there was no reserved tag on the table, and no one occupied it for the next two hours. Also very few option for Indiam breakfast and the restaurant menu is too expensive (4k per person for dinner) Pros: The location is good, the property is huge, and it is well-maintained with two big swimming pools.
overall good

location good beachfront but isolated on South of island ,for vegetarian very limited breakfast menu with no Indian options we had to request 1 day prior for Indian jain option then they make anyone dish.we advise to take half board as dinner having some Indian vegetarian options.overall food experience was average.amenities good.they provide some free watersports .even santosha spa was good .complimentary 45mins sauna they provided.room service is poor and slow with food in room they charge extra tray charges.otherwise overall experience was good.

The property is even better than it looks in pictures. Spread across a large area with 2 pools and 2 bars, private beach and complimentary water activities. Good staff, facilities of transit room if you are reaching early than the check in time or want to check out late. Many facilities at the property available, great spacious rooms. Overall a great deal if you are getting the correct price
Very good 4 star resort

Property is clean and well maintained. Food is good. Rooms are well equipped to your needs. They have live music and dance performances by the pool on select days, which is fun. The beach has clean waters and nice view of the sunset. We did not try any of the activities. Overall, a very solid option if you are looking for a 4 star resort near many siteseeings in Mauritius.

The resort facilities are pretty good however the resort when overbooked can be overwhelming for the staff. The service is slow and room service takes a lot of time.

The resort is great to stay at. Views are fantastic and facilities are up to mark. The staff is helpful and always ready to help but takes time to get things done. This might be because they are understaffed, idk.

It has private beach, game village, pools, food truck, restaurant, buffet. It has everything. The pathway is a little less illuminated at night. It could be a bit brighter. Buffet was good, both breakfast and dinner. We always some Indian food, and a good amount of vegetarian food, so it was nice.

It was good. We had a beach side view room and the beaches are awesome. We loved sun bathing and enjoying the morning strolls on the beaches. The only concern was a bit less courteous behaviour of the bar/restaurant folks. Rest all fine.

Good property and staff was very helpful. Specially chef Kunal who prepared vegetarian food for us. Only problem we had was that Tamassa Resort insisted that our package entitled us for dinner only whereas our make my trip booking voucher clearly showed lunch OR dinner

The rooms were small, the property was excellent, few facilities like snorkeling and kayaking were fully booked during our stays and they informed us that one should book in advance but none of the slots available, food was good, swimming pool excellent and cleaned, overall enjoyed the stay here
