Hotel Grand Bach Kyoto Select

Grand beach select kyoto is reasonably well located. The room is not very well planed and gives a cramped feeling inspite of being 23 square metres. Check in time being 2 pm, we reached at 1 pm - we didn’t ask for an early check in but asked if we could get some drinking water - imagine they apologized for not being able to offer it - i found it rather extremely inhospitable. Next was the set breakfast served - there being 2 options 1) japanese 2) continental regarding japanese, i am not qualified to comment on that but continental was pathetic & more so there was no option for any variation. Imagine getting the same absolute poor set breakfast for 5 consecutive days without any variation whatsoever. On my special request to give me fried eggs instead of scrambled eggs, one day it was given but next day onward s it was refused. People staying there should opt without breakfast option. In my fifty years of traveling i have yet to come across such a situation in a hotel. Hope the hotel people will look into this aspect after my this feedback. I didn’t consider it worthwhile to click any pictures in the hotel.

The hotel is very centrally located. Very helpful and courteous staff. Great breakfast and also has nice supper and drinks in the evening. Very cozy and clean and brownie points for Japanese Onsen.
