I like this place very much. The room and the bathroom are clean.Because outside was raining and cold, all we need is a hot shower and Ca Formosa has hot water and warm rooms. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast was very good. I recommend this place, it's close to San Marco Square. ??????

A lovely little place
This small but perfectly formed hotel was in a great area, near to the sights, but far enough away not to be busy. There were some lovely restaurants nearby and they were reasonably priced in comparison to many others. The hotel was spotless and comfortable and the breakfast was great. We had 'Casanova' room on the upper level and it was charming with exposed beams and lots of light. My only word of warning would be that this is not a hotel for anyone with mobility problems as there are several flights of stairs to climb to get to the rooms. Look at an earlier review for advice regarding how to find it - it's easy when you know how!

A great find
Lovely traditional small guesthouse in a perfect location. We arrived into Piazzale Roma and took the F2 to Rialto and walked from there. It took around 10 minutes. You are better looking for the museum as the entrance is next to it.
We arrived at just before 12 and were met by a lovely lady at reception. We were lucky that our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading out. We had Casanova - a big room on the top floor. As everyone has pointed out there are a lot of steps plus another 2 flights to this room. We had a big comfortable bed, bathroom with shower, tv, minibar (reasonable prices - €2 for water), large window which looked out over roofs, small windows looked out across to another building. Slippers in the bathroom, safe in the wardrobe. One thing to mention is that air conditioning is advertised, it is seasonal. We were here mid May, the temperature was 26 degrees but the air con wasn’t on. According to the staff not hot enough! Our room was hot so we left the windows open but this meant mosquitoes. That’s my only criticism and my reason for not 5*.
The hotel is great location - about 10 mins from Rialto and 15 to Saint Marks. Breakfast is plentiful - meats, cheeses, eggs, rolls, fresh coffee and croissants as well as cereal and juices.
All in all a great little place to stay. Just put the air con on please!

Boutique Hotel in Central but ....
We wanted a central hotel but in a quiet location and got exactly that! Just off a very bustling street full of great restaurants and at least one fab bar this hotel is quiet partly because it's 3 floors up. So if you can't do stairs this place will not be for you. We had a family room with large ensuite bathroom. It had good wi-fi, was spotlessly clean, a TV, tea and coffee facilities and plenty of space in our room. The owner was very friendly and helpful, we were able to safely drop our bags off early and collect them later on day of departure. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice and warm croissants. All in all a lovely stay.

Traditional decor, basic hotel....
The hotel is located just off a nice square, the room view is a concrete wall with a strip light shining all night long. Its advertised as having air con...except yoh are only allowed it on when they decide the weather is hot enough. Apparently May is not hot enough even if its 26° outside. I complained to the company i booked with and the following day an A/C unit appeared in the room, so at least they fixed it. A brand new t.v. turned up too which i assumed meant they had looked at what they were advertising and realised the rooms were vastly lacking! The bed was hard, which i liked but not everyone will. The rooms are on the 3rd floor, there is no lift.
Luggage store is not secure ( shove your stuff behind the unmanned front desk).
Breakfast is egg, cold meats, croissants and cheese. Cereal and yoghurt is also available but looked a bit ropey.
