Home away from home
Very clean and cozy B&B, really nice to come back to a room so comfortable after a long day of walking in Rome.
Breakfast room a bit tight when its a full house, but makes for a very social and friendly environment

Me and my gf went for a short vacation to Rome and choose to stay at the La Quercia di Mamre B&B.It was a very good decision. We found it fast and without any problems. The location is very central and 5mins from the Vatican. To the center of Rome you could walk or just take 1 Bus at a close station.Matteo welcomed us and showed us everything we needed to know plus some extra informations. The rooms were clean, new and beautiful decorated. In the kitchen we felt like home.We could make coffee and eat something whenever we wished to.Every day we had room service and our fridge was filled with orange juice, milk and water.(awesome!).Whenever i needed help or information Matteo was there to help out or recommend cool things or places to visit.I can not really complain about anything cause there is nothing to complain.Hope to see you again!I can only recommend this place.

No reception desk.
Firstly let me start by saying this is a lovely little, homely B&B. Rooms feel fresh and newly decorated and the bathrooms are super clean and again feel like they have been recently remodelled. The breakfast room, which is open between 8-10.30am, is well stocked with everything you might need, albeit mainly pre-packaged items such as muffins, wafers, croissants etc. Juices, milk, cereals, tea, coffee also included. The inclusion of some fruit I think would make this set up even better.
Beds and pillows were comfortable and noise for us was not an issue.
Vicinity to the Vatican City was superb and the distance to the centre of Rome was easily walkable but buses are available right outside should you prefer.
Now for the negative. Prior to staying here we had been on a cruise and our plan was, as we had to leave the ship very early, travel by taxi to La Quercia, drop off our bags and go directly to the Vatican City to arrive early to 'beat the queues'. We did not need to check in but merely dump of our luggage and go. However, on arrival, which even our taxi driver found difficult to locate, no one was at the property. We eventually got hold of the owner by telephone, who informed us that the property is not manned 24/7, and that he would not be able to 'open up' until 10.30. We therefore had to wait around for two and a half hours in a dim corridor with only the main stairwell in which to sit. There are no local cafe/bars in the vicinity and besides we had 8 suitcases which we would have had to lug around with us. This also meant our planned day trip to the Vatican had to be changed as there are enormous queues by midday.
Please, if you are planning to drop off your bags or check in early, do contact the owner first as there is no reception so to speak, and I would hate for anyone to experience the inconvenience we encountered on the first day.

Great accomodation & friendly ....
Me and my family stayed here for three nights. We had a great time here in Rome and really enjoyed to stay in this B&B. The lovely rooms are all arranged individually and very clean. For the room with 3 beds there is even an own breakfast room - you feel like at home :-).

Cute, nice place. Feel like ho....
Feel like home))) feel like living in Eterna citta. Clean, new, fresh, friendly. Nice breakfast, conditionary, a bit noisy if you have the room faced on the road but it's everywhere in Rome. 5-7 min from Vaticano.
