River front rooms are very nice but don’t expect any services from them. They are working with only 4 private butler for 40 rooms….i feel bad for butlers there as they are also human beings just 4 for 40 rooms they should appoint more and they don’t even provide water towels or anything that you need after 11pm so i believe its not worth to pay so much for this kind of service..

Place cleanliness and room interiors can be improved. Air conditioners need servicing as the cooling is very low during severe humidity. 5

Stayed in pool villa, although other rooms of same category had small pool but luckily i got a room with the biggest pool, although the pool was not that clean to be honest but overall the villa had 4 floos, the basement had a galltery and a sitting area, the ground floor had entry door, bathtub, toilet and shower, the first floor again had a sitting area and a watchout windwo, the second floor had the bed, though the overall villa seem to be a bit dark during night but overall nice experience they also had evening tea concept complimentary

The hotel is dilapidated. Unfortunately not the moneys worth. There was no jet not tap in the toilet. Above you can see wall seepage in the corner. This was all along the bedroom ceiling.

We stay at kup kup baronge for 2 days. We went for dinner and they denied us to sit on single table, they told you need reservation. No one told us about this policy dis -respect to guest by restaurant people, receptionist, when tried to explain ourselves. Even though we paid full amount already.

The property is located close to the river and has good room and the staff is very responsive. They have an indian restaurant inside the hotel. The best in chef krishna who prepared indian food for us and we really relieved the breakfast and dinner.

Big resort but houses inside heavy vegetation. Walk to rooms is long but buggy is available on call. Rooms are big with good interiors, food is decent with multiple options in breakfast. It was almost a jungle and hence visiting entire of resort wasn’t even on our minds.

Not a five star property it's like 3 star. Rooms are not cleaned properly.

Room is not good as photos but food is good as they provide proper indian food in breakfast and other dinner as well. There is no proper charging plugs and hot water issue is there in the villa.

I just loved this placed. The services provided were amazing, gentle staff, villa was beyond our expectation. They made are stay memorable.

Worst service. They hate indians to coms in hotel. Room key is not working. As result. Honeymoon couple sleep without door lock.

We can definitely see discrimination between european and asian tourists ! how they treat at restaurant ! not once but thrice we experienced it the same. Stay - excellent location - excellent commutation - great food - yes veg - acceptable all staff and butlers - helpful and great restaurant staff - hateful and discrimination found 0* for them.

Service provided by the hotel staff is extremely slow. - You have to wait for at least 15-20 Minutes for a buggy which will take you to your room. - Indian food is good but again you have to wait for atleast 45 minutes to get it prepared. - Breakfast starts around 7AM, if you reach there by any later than 7:30 its all cold that you have to eat. Not recommended !!!

We stayed at the pool villa in kupu kupu borang. Located in the midst of nature, it’s a beautiful property. The views from our villa were gorgeous. We spent 3 days at the villa. The room was spacious and clean. We had a personal butler assigned to us each day. The people were very sweet. Amazing breakfast spread (even had 1-2 indian cuisines. 10/10 will recommend!

If you want to have a aesthetic, romantic, and peaceful experience in your bali vacation stay as far as possible from the kupu kupu baron g villa. However, if moist humid rooms, croaking frogs jumping in pool with you for company, and patience building wait time for buggy sounds like your ideal vacation you might not get a better deal than this. We booked one of the most expensive river front suite and the suite had non functional acs to start with. Enough to drench you before you enter the pool. Once you are in the pool you might get accompanied by bugs, lizards and frogs. The suite has one power socket at foot of entry door and that’s it. Use it for charging all your devices, but one at a time. The television in the room is smartly placed at 90 degree to the bed so if you plan to watch it you will need their spa for the neck pain. It will be fair to say that the images shown in listing are far away from the real experience. The resort is in dire need of maintenance. The poolside area was dirty with the seating area left without furnishings. I cleaned the dirty ac air filters myself with hope to solve for cooling but the problem is in the main compressor so we had to spend the night using paper fans to air ourselves. All this ordeal you should know happened in the first few hours of checking in and we decided to cancel our booking of 4 nights and move to different property. In order to do that i had to wait 30 mins for the buggy to come and pick me up as it’s a steep trek to the reception otherwise. In the midst of all this my wife slipped on the floor thrice as the floor boards are too slippery and i think the housekeeping forgot to keep floor mats outside bathroom. If at all this sounds snobbish to you, check the pricing of this property and you will know what to expect from the kind of money you are ready to spend. The resort manager however was kind to agree to cancel our booking and gave us full refund for the further stay booked. We couldn’t spend 24hrs in the resort and i recommend you don’t take your chances too.

A calm beautiful pleasant and peaceful stay place. Along the river the place is a scenic beauty with excellent staff assistance and a good restaurant serving all cuisines. But felt a bit overly priced compared to hotels in the city area.

The rooms are built on hill slope. They have good privacy. The private pool though can be seen from outside of villa, so it's privacy is little compromised. We took valley view private pool room and the view is just awesome. With full glass door and view, it's serene to wake up. The room, bed, bathroom are really good. Bathtub is excellent. But they need to increase the hot water temperature. One major issue is distance from reception and the uphill road you need yo travel. So once in the room, you would not like to get out. Only issue we faced was of a frog coming in the room from the ac duct. The packing of ac duct was somehow open and a frog entered in. Check it once when you reach. Keep the door closed adn beware of mosquitoes.

Booked for our honeymoon trip and the location and the villa, which we have booked has one of best views in the resort. For the best view, I would recommend villa 19 or 17 as these are river front view villa with private swimming pool.
