Simply a great budget hotel
This is a far better, far more satisfying Ibis Budget than the one in St. Marx. The entire hotel looks and feels so much cleaner and tidier. The personnel is ultra-friendly, the environment is friendly, the room was top-notch, nothing broken, all comfy. Aside from the fact that you couldn't open the window, and there was no hairdryer in the room (but you coudl get one from the reception), I was very pleased!

Budget Hotel but good for one ....
We stayed here for 1 night. We had a small issue at check-in but the manager was quick to remedy it, and we had a comfortable night in our room on the 2nd floor. Don't confuse this hotel with the more upscale one beside it with almost the identical name. This is the budget one, which we paid $61.22 total for 1 night. We opted not to eat breakfast there, but we glanced quickly at the buffet when leaving the next morning, and it looked like a decent variety of food. The bathroom was interesting as it is a non-locking door which has a toilet, then a shower kind of as part of the room with translucent glass, so unless you're super close to the people you're traveling with, the shower situation might be a little uncomfortable. The room is tiny, but adequate for 1-2 nights.Bed was comfortable, and place was quiet (and I am a light sleeper) but slept well. They have rooms available for 2 adults on a double bed with a child on a bunkbed above the double bed. Location is central to everything. I would stay here again for a night or two.

Good facilities, but noisy nig....
I have only stayed in an ibis budget once before (Geneva Airport) and the only thing in common was they both had dirty windows! This hotel was much better. BUT - it was a hot night and people were talking noisily in the central courtyard until after 4am - very noticeable even with the windows shut. Surely there's a way of discouraging this.

Great value for money
Considering the price you get a very clean room, at a good location near the metro, only a few stations from the center. You can even go by foot. It’s about 40 minutes to Stephans Platz. The rooms are quite empty and the shower is located in the room and not in a seperate bathroom so it is a problem to share rooms. That is actually the only negative thing.

Ground-floor room with no poss....
This time I am a bit disappointed with this hotel. Although I booked my 1 week stay several months in advance and I am a Gold Ibis customer with Ibis business card, I was in a room at the ground floor with no possibility to open the window (for privacy reasons, otherwise people walking outside the hotel would see me inside the room). It is very unpleasant to use only artificial light for an entire week. Furthermore, only the main lamp on the room ceiling was working. The small light on the mirror was rarely working (after trying and pressing the button tens of times, if I was lucky I could get the light on). The two small lights mounted on the bed were broken (and it was not possible to turn the main lamp on the room ceiling from the bed). Additionally, heating was not working (because it was cold, I therefore asked for a second blanket). Breakfast is decent but not special. I was in this hotel before, but this time I did not like at all the room and probably next time I will go elsewhere.
