It was ok
Typical hotel, nothing to write home about but few complaints also. The room was comfortable and clean but had an odd layout. The breakfast was o.k.,sigh. This was a reasonable place to stay on a business trip but would skip for vacation.

Fantastic hotel in an excellen....
I can’t fault this hotel. I asked for a quiet room and we were given room 159 which overlooks the car park at the back. The aircon is very efficient, good shower, fridge and lots of storage space and sockets. The breakfast is fab and starts at 06.30 which is great if you want to get out early. There’s a wide choice and, importantly for me, two bean to cup coffee machines. I really liked the yogurt with fruit and muesli, jams (nicest we’ve ever had) and the daily cake (doughnuts today ??). Whoever prepares breakfast has a sense of humour as the boiled eggs have smiley faces drawn on. There’s always cold mint and lemon water in reception - refreshing after a hard day’s sightseeing! We weren’t interested in they gym (it’s tiny), didn’t use the bar or terrace. The location is perfect, it’s a quiet area and just across from Praterstern train station which has two metro lines, a direct train to the airport and trams. It’s about a 25 min pleasant walk to Stephansplatz. Nearby there are plenty of cafes, the fantastic Zinas restaurant plus good sandwich shops (bakers) and a big Billa supermarket in the train station. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We would stay here again - highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed here in a premium room for 4 nights. I really cant think of anything different to add to all the excellent reviews here. Super clean, comfortable, well located, friendly staff. Very good breakfast choice in a large beautifully decorated breakfast room or outside on small terrace ensuring no crush for seating nor for the buffet. Staff constantly clearing tables, not to rush you but to ensure your table clear if you want to revisit the buffet.
We know Vienna quite well, so rarely use reception staff for information or concierge services etc. but they are always there if you need help. Again, we don't tend to hang around the room but use it as a base and sleeping facility. But ours was spacious enough, comfortable bed, in Austrian style, two beds together but large. We had no bath but a double shower cubicle and water pressure is excellent.
Having noted some negative comments about the area in other reviews I would stress that while there are a few "street" people around, they arent interested in you, just keeping their own company and having a drink. This is a real part of the city, beautiful tree lined street, so enjoy it as you walk up to the tourist areas night or day, it is safe. We even went over to the Prater at night time, another place you may see called "dodgy", not at all. Worth it to have a beer and bite to eat at Schweizerhof, a 2000 plus seat beer garden and it was packed. So please, just be aware as you would anywhere and enjoy it. Vienna is as safe a city as any city can be, in fact much safer.

This hotel has a great central location within comfortable walking distance of many historic sights.
Although a ‘Leading Hotel of the World’, and host to dozens of celebrities over the years, this hotel remains discreet and unassuming until you enter the foyer and are enveloped in luxury and comfort.
Our newly decorated suite was luxurious and peaceful, despite overlooking a busy street. With plenty of hanging space and a beautiful bathroom, it was perfect to relax in after a long day of sightseeing.
With several dining options inside and out, from fine dining and sushi, to afternoon tea in the lobby, you don’t need to stray far to satisfy your appetite, especially if you have a sweet tooth!
Most of the restaurants are very popular so booking is recommended.
The pretty, blue bar is also very popular with the opera crowd (straight across the street), pre and post show, so tables are often reserved very early on.
Staff are very friendly and helpful - a delightful stay.

Comfortable and spacious
The staff at reception were very welcoming and helpful upon our arrival. The room was large and we had a lovely quiet room. There is heating and cooling as well as windows that open for fresh air. The breakfast had a good range. There are often tour groups here but if you time your breakfast the breakfast room is nice a quiet! There is an outside eating area also.
Location is quite good- stations nearby and a comfortable 30 minute walk to Stephanplatz.
