Very spacious unit with everyt....
We stayed in the 3 Bedroom Penthouse apartment which had some views to the ocean and overlooking the city. The apartment was of a very generous size and all the bedrooms had there own air-conditioners as well as the living areas. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment and utensils. The beds were comfortable none of our family had any complaints. The only negative was the apartment was devoid of any artwork. It is situated a fair distance from the city but this is why we picked it as we had vehicles to get around.

Good value for the price
The 2 BRM apartment was spacious and had all the convenient additions we needed for our stay. The kitchen had all the appliances and utensils we needed. Large tv and air conditioning in every room. Clean and tidy. The only drawbacks would be the enclosed balcony doesn't get a great deal of breeze and has the air conditioner unit generates heat on the balcony; and the wifi is only available on the ground floor. Not a problem if you're out all day anyway!

Fourth year in a row to Cairns for annual soccer trip. Most disappointing place I have stayed in at Cairns.
Upon exiting the lift on the first day was overwhelmed with stench of rotten rubbish. The apartment was spacious but also lacking. One room was missing a remote for the air conditioner (fortunately able to use another remote). The bathrooms were clean but there were rust marks on the outside of the shower and some mould on the ceiling.
The kitchen was average but did not contain any reasonable bowls for a salad. The dishwasher was very poor - the seal on the inside of the door kept coming off and had to be put back in after every wash.
The sun lounger outside could not be used due to being rusted and ripped. Reported it to the manager and nothing happened.
The sun loungers by the pool were all chained and bolted to the ground!! So bad luck if you wanted to move them into the shade.
The icing on the cake was when I reported damage to my lounge chair. Noticed it had a rip in it. Manager then told me ‘damage must have been caused by high impact and I was liable ‘. Now, I’m happy to pay for something if I break it but this was general wear and tear. Long story short, chair was worn and thin and did not have to pay. However left a very bad taste in the mouth.
So, due to treatment of damage in apartment, unusable condition of sun lounge, dishwasher, insufficient hot water for showers I will NEVER stay here again and would not recommend to anyone for the price you have to pay. Expected much much more.

Don't stay here
I have just returned from possibly my worst holiday ever. Cairns is a beautiful place, but Edge Apartments are not. The apartment itself was a good size, but cleanliness left alot to be desired. But this was the least of my worries...
I was staying with my two young children, but we were all kept awake every night with the resident above "walking around his apartment" in the middle of the night for hours. Normally sound proofing in apartments makes this a non-issue, but sadly this is not the case at the Edge Apartments. It sounded like there were Elephants in the apartment above. Upon speaking to manager, it simply stated that he couldn't stop people walking about their apartment in the middle of the night, and that he just liked to walk around.
When I contacted the manager to complain about loud music at 11pm he simply did not reply.
DO NOT STAY HERE!

Very noisy and too far out of ....
Firstly this apartment block was very clean and tidy and modern, The rooms were comfortable and plenty of room to move around. However, it is very noisy, As they are apartments, whenever anyone in the room above you moves around you can hear all the stomping, doors closing etc. and it is very close to the airport so the planes are really low and noisy. You need a key to access the building or any part of the building including the swimming pool. So if there are more than two people, this can be a problem. The apartment block, although close to the Esplanade is at the other end of town, so if you don't have a car it is a $11 to $13 taxi ride each way into the city as it is too far to walk, There is nothing much (apart from other apartments) close by. Internet access is only via reception, not in the rooms. One of the bedrooms was facing the corridors and the outside lights (to light the pathway) are on all night so the bedroom wasn't dark at all. If I was sleeping in the bed closest to the window the light would be shining right on me as there are only vertical blinds and no curtains.
