Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh - Leith Waterfront

Very nice property in Edinburgh, little away from city center but in a very silent location 2 minutes walk to Bus & Tram station. Also diagonally opposite is Royal Britannia yacht and Port of Leith Distillery. 10 minutes walk to Rushi, Indian resturent with south indian food and alcohol. Many restaurants on the riverfront 10 minutes walk. BF is just manageable.

location is good, room sizes are good for a double bed, better than city average. easily accessible by bus and tram from city centre. roughly 20 odd mins by bus or can from city centre

Good hotel but located little away from city centre. However, well connected with trams. Good breakfast, but no water bottles in the room. Cattle and tea coffee refillable provided. Staff is nice and very polite.

Nice cozy but small room after putting the third bed. But if you are just driving in and out then it’s a good option. Though breakfast is not really that good but ok.

The hotel is at great location, just beside the tram and the bus station. The rooms are comfy and cozy. Friendly and helpful staff.

The best place to stay in edinburgh considering the cost, advantage of having tram station & bus stop in front of hotel (ocean terminal) and 15mns travel via both modes to edinburgh city. You can reach the hotel within an hour from the airport via direct tram or bus for 5 pounds, a very beautiful place to stay and you get a good breakfast. Very neat and clean rooms with high professional employees.

Our stay was beautiful. The hotel was neat, tidy and in good location near to transport connections.

Hotel room and amenities were not inline with the price, 150 gbp is a big price for this hotel. Otherwise no operational issues.

Rooms were extremely small, no space to even keep luggage. Extremely disappointed with the rooms. We had booked a triple room as we had a 11 year old child and inspite of it the room we got was extremely small. Staff were very courteous and good through out our stay though.

The hotel is located at ocean drive which is near to Leith waterfront. It is at a walking distance from Royal Yacht Britannia, a famous ship used by British Royalty and now a must visit tourist place. Right outside the hotel is the ocean drive bus stop from where you can take 22, 35 bus from Lothian (operator) to access almost every tourist spot in Edinburgh. The breakfast is however disappointing with very less variety and no on order food. To reach the airport it might take upto 50 mins in rush hour. But it's a calm location and great for couples and families.

Most economical place to stay away from City centre yet next to one of the most important tourist attractions, viz. Royal Britannia yacht

Overall experience was good. But there are certain change in the tour on the spot and nobody informed us it creates a little problem. But regarding hotel no problem. So we recommend to other friends also. But if you planned for Edinburgh do not take any tours arrange it yourself.
