Overall amenities and hospitality was great. No mixup events though. Staff is very sweet, and no hassles for me at all

stayed at Mad Monkey Hostel and overall the property is decent, but one major issue really affected my experience. The hostel does not allow outside food, which was very inconvenient. This policy was not mentioned so I only found out after arriving.

I stayed at **Mad Monkey Hostel Phuket** and had an amazing experience! The highlight of my stay was definitely the receptionist, **Wanmai**, who was super friendly and incredibly helpful throughout my time there. She really made me feel welcome. If you’re traveling solo, this is *the* place to be — it’s so easy to meet new people and make friends. The rooms are neat and clean, and the whole atmosphere is lively and fun. They even offered me a free drink at check-in, which was a nice touch! The only minor downside I noticed was the key card system: once you remove the card from the holder, the power in the room goes off, which can sometimes disturb others. But honestly, it’s a small thing compared to all the positives. Overall, it’s a great value — super economical, happening, and the perfect spot to enjoy Phuket. If you’re heading here, don’t think twice — just book Mad Monkey Hostel. You won’t regret it!

Everything was good . Nice ambience, the food , the staff very cooperative and well behaved and yes liked the billiard too

I booked a stay at Mad Monkey through MakeMyTrip but had to cancel my reservation. Despite requesting cancellation, the hotel refused and charged me 100% of the booking amount. Their customer service was unhelpful, and they showed no flexibility or understanding. If you’re booking here, be cautious about their policies—once they have your money, they won’t accommodate any changes. Would not recommend based on this experience.

If you are planning to stay at phi phi island then ibiza house is top recommended to stay. You can do pool party on tuesday, thursday and sunday.
