The Kala Samui

My stay at The Kala was amazing. The location and The ambiance of The property beautiful. We had a really good time.

Truly magnificent. We stayed at 2 sea facing rooms and you must actually stay at this property to believe it. Absolutely breathtaking location with very courteous staff and excellent cook. All together a five-star experience.

This place is amazing near the ocean waters with great views. Located right between Chaweng and Lamai beach. Food was awesome, interiors was amazing. Staff is humble and soft spoken. 10/10.

The resort is little away from the main shopping area/market area however the view from the hotel is amazing. The staff is super co-operative.

Stayed for just one night on my way back from Koh Tao as I had my flight from Koh Samui and that one day turned out to be one too many. The cutlery in the restaurant has literally eroded and is peeling off. The bowls in which ketchup was served had discoloration in it and I felt yucky eating out of it. The table cloth and the cutlery had dust on it and there were mosquitoes all over the property. However, the food taste was good. Also, the location is bang in the middle of the road between Lamai and Chaweng. Neither here not there. You need a cab to go anywhere and it's not cheap. Stay here if you are comfortable driving a scooter and if you have a plan for at least 5-6 days. The staff is very polite and friendly. No Complaints there. The hotel seriously needs a massive facelift and renovation.

Booked a deluxe pool villa which was unkept taps mobs falling apart dirty bathtub, terrible property definitely not a 5 star, no amenities in the washroom, no housekeeping after 5:30 in the evening, not even a 2 star property, far from city centre, do not waste money.

The view from the room was breathtaking, room was cozy, private pool was also awesome take care while walking into it. Breakfast is ala-carte so your choice of breakfast will be served but for vegetarians there are no choice unless bread butter works for you. Yes if you are older then you need to walk some stairs. Otherwise, overall stay was awesome. I would recommend for sure.

I travelled with my family, had informed the hotel well in advance that we are pure veg. Inspite of telling 3-4 times, no arrangement were made for food. We were made to starve for the entire stay. No mention about the breakfast buffet to be chosen from a set menu of only 4-5 items, and in that being a veg no options. Same for the comply dinner, again same menu. Quantity so less that even 1 person can't eat the little boiled rice (so called fried rice) which they gave with the Thai curry made (which was not at all close to being a Thai curry). When asked to put some broccoli and cherry tomatoes in the curry and rice, the server said it's not avail. Instead she put raw big chunks of cauliflower florets, which gave us a severe stomach pain later. One has to ask for extra sugar also for coffee, as they would expect you to have only 1 at a time. What if someone needs more than that. One has to keep begging for things, food. No mention of not providing the toiletries, because we were not carrying a toothpaste. When asked they said they can't give. If that's the case, I don't think it's a 4-star, or at least mention somewhere. Had to go to the chemist and purchase it. In the bathtub a big spider was found, had to clean it before stepping in. Was waiting to get back home and eat stomach full food. It was a paid punishment for my family. There are no hotels outside wherein one can go and eat, neither they have any food. What does one do in such a situation. Spoiled my holiday!

The hotel is an isolated property with nothing in the vicinity. It has not been renovated in recent time so looks old and spooky. The common halls and other areas were also very unkept, no enough lighting at night time, you'll feel as if you're staying in a ghost house. Almost nil management just saw a guard and a reception lady during my stay, so I don't recommend this for the price you pay.

Only good for honeymoon couples, who are looking for good time. Overpriced food and very clueless staff.

View was perfect, peaceful place.

My stay was awesome there, very close to nature and give very beautiful view from every part of resort. Near to Crystal Beach. Totally peaceful and clean. Staff was also very helpful and cooperative. But the food and drinks are very much expensive, although it was nice place to stay. Go for it.

Property is really nice with stunning views but far from the party are cawing beach. Staff is very slow they even asked us to take fetch our food from the restaurant directly after we ordered room service. They don't have basic stuff for guests like room toiletries, etc. They will even charge for little things and staff if not bothered about guests at all.

Limited items in food. Only Thai food was served. No complaints about service. Staff was all time cooperative. Location is very good. Very good view from private pool villa.

Kala Samui is a peaceful retreat who are nature lovers. Property has used natural materials giving earthly warmth and positive vibes.

Reception staff are rude and unfriendly. Booked all meal option and same menu repeated every day. We offered to pay difference and go ala cartel but they refused.
