Viangluang Resort

I recently stayed at Viangluang Resort in Chiang Mai, and overall, it turned out to be a wonderful experience. The location is one of its strongest advantages — it’s in very close proximity to the airport (around a 20-minute taxi ride), making arrivals and departures extremely convenient. The resort is also situated near the city center, so getting around is easy, and most of Chiang Mai’s iconic temples and cultural spots are just a short walk or drive away. The resort itself is beautiful, with an old-school architectural style that blends seamlessly with traditional temple-inspired design. This gives the entire property an authentic and peaceful vibe that really enhances the Chiang Mai experience. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well maintained, offering a comfortable stay. The pool deserves a special mention — it’s excellent, well-kept, and perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The staff were very polite, warm, and helpful throughout my stay, which added to the overall positive experience. Breakfast was decent, though I felt there were fewer vegetarian options. Expanding this selection would definitely make mornings more enjoyable for vegetarian guests. The only downside I noticed was the wooden flooring in the rooms. When the air-conditioning is left on for a longer time, the floor tends to become extremely slippery, increasing the risk of slipping. It’s something guests should be cautious about, and hopefully the management can address this concern. Despite this, Viangluang Resort is a charming property with a lot of character, excellent service, and a fantastic location. I would recommend it to travelers looking for a culturally rich and comfortable stay in Chiang Mai.
