Attention to detail is outstanding

While great service is expected from a chain such as shangri-la and when you pay the amount for larger rooms, the attention to detail here was simply outstanding. Since they knew we were traveling with a one-year old, they had not only kept a baby cot in our room (which every other Shangri-La Hotel Chiang Mai also does, they also kept a baby bathing tub, baby toiletries, baby bathing stool, baby toilet seat and a sterilizer in the room. This was a touch over and above what any other Shangri-La Hotel Chiang Mai does and truly impressed us.

We enjoyed our two night stay at the Shangri-La in Chiang Mai. The room and view were beautiful. Large rooms with lounge spaces and a very comfy bed. The shower and bathroom were well appointed. The location is good if you plan on checking out the north and east side of the Old Town. Good walking access to most places and cabs (Grab) were easy to find. We didn't take the room with breakfast, so can't comment on the food.
