Nearly like a home, away from ....
If you're planning a short trip to Geneva and thought "Oh no, I forgot to record EastEnders," then you're within luck. Hotel les Nations has a TV network ideal for any Brit. Turn on your telly after a long trip, and you'll find BBC, ITV and Channel 4. With the UN building just around the corner, there's no question that this hotel accommodates for many parts of the world.
The room I stayed in itself was remarkable. I booked a 'single room' and I got a king size bed and a decent size en-suite bathroom. The room was incredibly warm because of the humidity outside (24-26 degrees) but the staff ensured they provided me with a good size fan. They also provided me with a UK-to-Swiss plug adaptor because, silly me, I thought Switzerland used the plug types seen across Europe. Not to be the case! They even provided me with a 'public transport pass', so I could catch buses across Geneva free of charge!
The location was great too. It's 15 minutes away from the Airport via the no.5 bus, 12-15 minutes walk to the railway station and a mile from the city centre and Lake.
In summary, I found myself surprised. For Switzerland-standards, it's fairly priced and you'll get a lot from it. You don't really get so much value for money regarding breakfast (15 francs for basic continental), but please don't let that put you off. It's a delightful place to stay.

Staff were so welcoming and nice. Rooms were big and clean. The bathroom was replenished every day. It was easy to get to and transport was excellent with the help of staff of course. I recommend this hotel and I will definitely stay there in the near future.

Lacking customer service + war....
So I stayed here recently for a work trip. Check-in was easy and smooth but no detail was provided on breakfast (which was also inclusive). Breakfast is included with the room but wasn't advertised and I wasn't informed of location at check-in.
Room - The room itself was nicely designed. However it lacked warmth - both physically and aesthetically. The first thing which hit me was there was no carpet like all other hotels. I travelled end of November and it was incredibly cold. This meant I constantly had socks and shoes on. The heating dial didn't work and the temperature on the heater seemed to be consistently low. I had to then close all curtains and blinds irrespective of time of day.
Room service/cleaning - they were fantastic. Rooms were consistently clean and items on bed/floor (whilst frantically leaving the room) safely kept on the side. Really lovely at the end of a working day.
Breakfast - included croissants, breads cheeses, cereals, eggs, juices and coffees/teas.
Staff didn't interact with guests when arriving or leaving the hotel, they kept themselves to themselves. Very different to other hotels and dampened the mood. Just a simple good morning or hello goes a long way. I would've provided 5* (given it's a three star hotel) had there been information on breakfast, friendlier staff + carpet/warm rooms. A decent 3 star, but was earing towards 2.5*.

Great location, very comfortab....
Room very comfortable, staff friendly and the breakfast was great. Would stay here again no doubt. The Servette tram stop is 3 minutes walk away and the bus to and from the airport is just 5 minutes walk away. With my stay I got a four day public transport pass which was fantastic. The reception staff are great.

Poor value for money
Average room, very small bathroom, no minibar in the room, NO AIRCONDITIONING (and a whole week of 30+ temperatures), poor breakfast, no service.
On the whole, this hotel does not provide value for money and I will never book it again.
