Great place with a homely touch!

This resort had a homely feeling right from the start. The resort is located quite high up and our car was not able to reach the top so we parked on the road and called up the Misty Hills Ella Resort who sent 2 people down immediately to help us. We were greeted warmly by an old gentleman and the first views from the resort are gorgeous. It overlooks The Ella rock and Little Adam’s Peak. We had booked a deluxe apartment with balcony and fell in love with the room with its wooden floors, old antique beds and furniture instantly. Massive French windows open up to a sprawling balcony with vintage style loungers overlooking the main attractions. The property did not have their cook the night we checked in but they were very gracious and asked us what we would like to eat and they would cook it. We asked the gentleman at the counter what he cooked best and decided to order string hoppers, coconut roti, Sri Lankan mushroom curry, potato curry and Sri Lankan dhal with papadums. This was the best decision because the food turned out to be fabulous!!! We licked off every bit of it. Great tastes, flavour and we were looked after really well. The bathroom is very spacious with toiletries and running hot water. Breakfast was a simple English fare with bread, eggs to order and juices and it was filling and tasted great. We stayed only for a night but will definitely recommend and come back!

The room offered here had a view of Ella Rock which was beautiful to wake up to. Also the hospitality of the staff there is just amazing.
