I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Thaala Bentota Resort! The location is unbeatable—perfectly nestled between the golden beaches of Bentota and the lush greenery of the surrounding area. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and being just steps away from the beach made the experience truly special. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional staff. Every team member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to making our stay as comfortable as possible. From check-in to departure, the service was seamless and always delivered with a smile. The rooms were spacious, beautifully maintained, and well-appointed, combining modern comfort with local charm. We especially appreciated the little details and the cleanliness throughout. Overall, Thaala Bentota Resort exceeded our expectations in every way. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or a beachside getaway, this is the perfect place to relax and recharge. Highly recommended!

Thaala bentota is an excellent property with an adjacent pristine beach. The swimming pools are nice, the lawn area is beautifully maintained and the staff are very friendly. This AVANI Bentota Resort & Spa was architect-ed by famous architect jeffrey bawa and bears the class even after years of being in existence. Only thing is that the restaurant does not offer good choices and the service can improve. In some sense, it is a blessing in disguise as there are very nice restaurants in the neighborhood - walkable and definitely "tuktuk"able. I have a complaint. showing free airport drop as i had booked the entire trip But there was no option to do so

The stay was awesome. We are vegetarians but there were limited options in veg, however the chef prepared roti/naan for us on request which is a very good gesture. The rooms are right next to the beach, so we enjoyed a lot. There was a sewage smell from the bathroom in our room which they fixed temporarily. But apart from this, everything was good. We had a memorable stay!

- the rooms, pools and the AVANI Bentota Resort & Spa area was well maintained - the beach access was right behind the AVANI Bentota Resort & Spa so that was great too. - the food at the AVANI Bentota Resort & Spa was a disaster. Other then the breakfast, we also had the christmas dinner there but the food was just about average.

Good location, clean room, excellent service, value for money. kitchen " Breeze " needs to be improved. I guess they are using pamolin oil butter, which is very unhealthy, need to be replaced with milk butter. Veg and nonveg should be placed differently to avoid confusion. Food quality needs to be improved. value for money.

The breakfast spread was awesome, lunch had limited choices for vegetarians. The property is very well maintained and has access to the beach. Seniors may find it difficult to rooms on tge top floors as there is no lift and long passages to navigate. Aside great place to stay

the room allotted was different from the one shown . when asked the manager was very rude and said that it's not his responsibility what is shown in app. this is what we have if you don't like, cancel the booking.

The property is located right on beach front. There are two pools. the room is big and clean. The overall property is very beautiful and you get an amazing welcome on your arrival. there is a lavish breakfast buffet with variety of vegetarian dishes.
