Resorts World Sentosa - Equarius Villas

On the 6th july at about 6 pm we checked in room:817 of “resort world sentosa beach villas”. 1. Ac temperature was preset to 23. The switch to adjust the temperature was not working. Housekeeping was not helpful after several attempts, a couple of technicians turned up with a 10 feet ladder and opened up the ahu equivalent in the bathroom roof to adjust temperature. Despite their best attempt the room was not cool enough for us. 2. By then, we thought we would use the ceiling fan to cool the room. But to our surprise the housekeeping person mentioned that the fan was just an ornament piece. 3. Coffee machine was not working. The housekeeping person came and checked but could not fix it. She then asked me to call the technician to replace the machine. The technician struggled a bit with the machine and then he brought a new machine to replace the old machine. Even that machine was not working. He then advised us to use water that is of room temperature and not warm or hot! 4. The remote to the curtain was not working. The technician came to explain how to use the remote. I must confess it was a short a course on “permutations and combinations”! we spent two hours inside the room witnessing all these technical problems and resolution. Nobody from the hotel even apologised for the inconvenience caused to us. Next day, however, the manager called and offered us a “free breakfast” without any reference to the previous day’s episodes. In our limited exposure to this property our rating is “very poor”. The upkeep and housekeeping of the property (particularly the facade, pathways and interior of the utilities) need significant improvement to reclaim their 7star status
