A perfect address in the centr....
Right in the very centre of Rome, a pleasant and cosy hotel - comfortable rooms, clean, good facilities. 5 Minutes walk from the Trevi-Fountain, 10 to the Pantheon, 20 to the Forum Romanum... Highly recommended.

Perfect Small Hotel Near the T....
*Note* The Domus Julia is next door to the Hotel Julia. This review is for the DOMUS Julia.
We had a wonderful two night stay here. The room was ample sized. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was decent size.
The hotel is a short 5-10 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain, and also very close to public transportation (subway and bus). There is also a grocery store very close by.
The airport pick-up (arranged via Domus Julia) worked out well.
This is our second time staying here, and we will come back for it's excellent location.
Note that if you take breakfast, it will be in the Hotel Julia next door.

No misunderstanding, this apar....
With reference to the previous review, I can confirm to Domus Julia that it is their apartment. In case you still wish to doubt or cast aspersions, I'll just go over the points again which you can discuss with staff. My family arrived on the 6th April having booked online through booking. Com. Our booking number on the invoice ends in 7068. The email sent by booking .com has the address Domus Julia via rasella 32, Trevi, Roma 00187. We arrived by taxi at Domus Julia hotel on the 6th April and as we were early, around 11am and the apartment was not ready, we left three items of luggage in reception at your direction. These were then taken at some point to the apartment across the street for us to find later that afternoon. We came back from our walk to collect the key and move in to it. A lady from reception at Domus Julia. gave us the key and showed us how to open the external door and the internal door to the apartment. We saw a brass plaque on the wall outside which said Domus Julia apartment. Plus another by the door inside. This must mean that this is your apartment if you have A. Taken our cases to it. B. The lady from behind reception Opened the door and showed us in. C. Stuck 2 brass plaques on it like the ones outside your other property in the street. The following day, the 7th, my husband came over to talk to reception about the noise and spoke to a lady with black glasses. He asked if there was a room higher up off the street or anything you would do to help and she shrugged and said that this is Rome. The following day, the 8th, I came across and talked to the same lady about the noisy people in the block who came in at midnight and played music until 2am. She mentioned calling the police if it happens again. The noise in the apartment is terrible. Lie on the bed and get a colleague to go up in the lift. It's right next door to the main bedroom. You can hear all the cogs and generator. Try sleeping through that. Lie on the sofa bed in the front room. Try to sleep at midnight. You won't find it easy. The road is so Noisy, especially at street level. Just try to accept that we've left a review to warn other travellers what they can expect. There may be a nice room high up with wooden beams like the one on the invoice photo. We didn't get that one and neither might other potential customers reading this. The odd night or two without sleep, maybe not an issue, four nights of no sleep is awful for anyone. God help anyone who has booked longer. The noise really spoiled what was our holiday. Your staff didn't really seem to care much or come up with a solution, so deal with the criticism, don't deny that this isn't an issue with the apartment. Also, why not post pictures of the actual apartment on your pages? I guess you realise it's not that good and these 2 reviews expose it's short fallings. So no misunderstanding, this is your apartment, you gladly took the money for the apartment and didn't really care much after that. If you're thinking of staying at Domus Julia apartment, make sure it's not this one. Even the ear plugs I bought from the co op (!) at the end of the road couldn't block out all the din from the street and inside the building!

The noise drags down this rati....
We stayed in an apartment across the street from the hotel, in a private block with other apartments, and tenants. This was a ground floor flat and facing the street. Forget the images of nice beamed rooms online, this was nothing like that. Bedroom was a box with no windows and the other Windows from the living/ diner/ were straight onto the road.To be fair as a family of four, 2 in bedroom, 2 in sofa bed area, it was big enough and very well equipped, nice little bathroom, and washing machine with utility area. Both Tvs, for all their size and satellite boxes, only showed bbc news in English. Nice kitchenette area with hob, fridge and dishwasher. A safe in cupboard and good secure doors and bars on windows too meant break in was unlikely. Was also cleaned daily and was really spotless. However the noise was mental. Completely mental. How reviewers say this is a quiet street i don't know. At night you hear everything going past as the windows are not really that thick. Cars and scooters roar past at all hours. People shout at each other not realising you are 2ft away. This is a cut through from berberini metro. There's a late night halal kebab down the road and a really popular restaurant. So lots of loud people walking past, and it feels they are in the room with you. Car alarms, huge groups of kids, shouty locals, all until 1.30 2am when it drops off a bit. We'd told the desk who shrugged and said this is Rome. Sunday was very quiet though, but still with the cars, mopeds and their alarms too. Inside next to the bedroom is the lift for the block which was very loud through the walls. Some locals were playing music at taking the P volume at 2am. We told reception next day and Reception told us to ring them to get the police if it happened again which it didn't.Fair enough, but maybe a word on the web page, especially as we had our kids trying to sleep through all this too.wi fi was erratic. You get a little slip of paper and have to log in each time. Quite sketchy coverage. This was the only place I've ever stayed where you just know you'll not have any chance of a good night sleep. Can't believe really they think its possible to sleep well here. Despite being really clean and well equipped, I'd not ever stay here again, it's location was convenient for the Trevi and all that. I think being over the road and away from the hotel just puts you out of sight and mind and you're not really on the radar of the hotel staff. One man was very nice at check out and check in, but the rest weren't that bothered about us or our experience with the apartment. Above all, if you like going out till late in the morning or drinking youself unconscious, this may well be suitable as noise won't be a factor.

Good value for money
The Domus Julia is an annex to the Hotel Julia next door and is amongst domestic apartments. Nevertheless it is perfect as a cheaper option in Rome. The room is basic but comfortable enough with an en suite that isn't luxurious but isn't by any means grotty. Location is fantastic as well, short walking distance to the Trevi fountain and Spanish steps plus a metro stop and only a mile from the main station
