Set in a 14th century building in San Lorenzo, Hotel Machiavelli Palace is only a 5-minute walk from San Lorenzo Market. Guided tours to famous attractions in and around Florence can be arranged at the 24-hour front desk. It also assists with ticket bookings to museums and offers useful information about famous tourist attractions. Also, guests can bring their pets along with them to the property. Adding to the comfort of guests are facilities like currency exchange, parking, laundry and high-speed Wi-Fi access.
Designed in typical Florentine style, all 90 rooms at the property are beautifully furnished and brightly-lit. Common amenities in these individually air-conditioned rooms include satellite television, direct dial phone, electronic safe, mini bar and Wi-Fi access. Opulent bathrooms come with hairdryer and shower facilities along with exclusive toiletries. For experiencing ultimate luxury, guests can choose to stay in the hotel's lavishly appointed Junior Suite.
A Continental buffet breakfast is offered by the hotel every morning. Room service is available upon request. Mingle with friends over a drink at the in-house bar. The nearby restaurants serve classic Italian specialities prepared using seasonal produce. Besides, a hearty Indian meal can be enjoyed at the Indian restaurant, Zafferano, just a 10-minute drive away.
Housing a large collection of sculptures and some Roman antiquities, Boboli Gardens is around 15 minutes' drive from the hotel.
The key attraction of the Hotel is Breakfast and its near to Firenze S. M. And. It is just walkable from SMN so that you don't need to pay anything for CAB or BUS. The room service is excellent, but please make sure that charges, because the charge of extra service is very high.

Reception and cleanliness staff are good and supportive. Can not comment on value for money, because I really paid heavily through Make My Trip, however at the hotel, price quoted were much lesser. If it is for the money paid to Make My Trip, not good value for money. Breakfast is very very average. Services in dining hall need to improve. I guess, buffet system would fare better than the current service. Room was really tiny, however on request, the hotel staff allotted me another room. Lastly, thanks to the cleanliness staff for their honesty, they left my money (about 1000 USD) untouched which I forgot on the bed. Thanks for that.

The central location was excellent and the service generally friendly and helpful. However the room was very cramped, the shower tiny, and the bathroom a bit smelly at times. I was told that heat was not turned on until November though it seemed to be on on my last day of four. The communal facilities were also rather cramped. I suppose granted the discount I received it was reasonable value but I don't think I would return there on my annual visit to Florence.

Facilities was not an issue for us in choosing a hotel in Florence. The city and it's museums is the attraction. Average to me implies that it is similar to most hotels.
