I recently stayed at this hotel in Gili Islands, and while the property itself was quite nice, the location was a major downside. The hotel is way too far from the main harbor and the central area where all the fun happens. If you’re looking to experience Gili’s nightlife, restaurants, and activities, be prepared for a long commute.
The biggest issue is that there are no streetlights on the way to the hotel, making it quite difficult (and a bit unsafe) to walk back at night. Unless you’re renting a bicycle or taking a horse cart (which can add up in cost), getting to and from the hotel can be inconvenient.
That said, the hotel itself was great—clean, comfortable, and with friendly staff. If you’re looking for a peaceful, quiet stay away from the crowds, this might work for you. But if you want easy access to the main street, this may not be the best choice.
